Don't Get Caught Out By THIS PayPal Phishing Scam! We Called The Scammers!
Appreciated this thank you. Clear advice.
I have had a couple of these over the last couple of years. Why would you send someone money, just because they "requested" it? You wouldn't! I rejected the request(s), reported it to PayPal then blocked the requester. Easy. If I am going to pay via PP, I will do it at the site I am purchasing from - which will send me to PP. Do the transaction... money comes out of my bank, and PP, for which I get alerts. If it is a recurring fee, I will set that up with the site, and PP, who then send me notifications of it, and each subsequent payment. There will NEVER be a time when someone needs to send me a request to get money. So if someone DOES; it's a scam. Simple.
It could have fooled alot of people - I AM SO GLAD MY PARENTS DO NOT USE THE INTERNET.
As others have said, the Indian accents give it away. Most scams cone from these low life's in India.
Thank you Sir.
Paypal should already have your email address and not be asking for it.
EBay are full of one thing inside a trading they love the dirty act and run away. They don’t want to pay for what they did and you have them being nothing more than dictators who hold funds and what do I think about eBay‘s management? They are no value at all They like insider trading. They proved here in Australia with Morrison and Turnbull who aided and embed theft and were nothing more than the gutter thieves. Unfortunately our legal system could not intervene worthless nothing for the next generation and we only get 100 summers if you’re lucky regards Alf down under.
Excellent video
Thank you very much!
On another device, I would log into my account. Then denied the transfer from there.
how to tell it's a scam... 2:56 Yeah, that's enough for me right there
I’d never call the number in the email
Indian accent….instant scam.
do you think Microsoft was right to force windows 11 on TPM only security machines? also what headphones are u guys wearing?
On TPM - Yes and no! It helps when the big players enforce things and move the baseline upwards. Everyone else gets dragged along, and what at first seems complicated just becomes the norm. Multi-factor authentication is an example. We all now accept it as a feature. It does, however, have a downside. A lot of hardware that has plenty of life left in it will now be discarded or used out of support, with a reduced security posture. The headphones - Luke is wearing Truthear x Crinacle Zero Red and mine are Linsoul 7Hz Salnotes Zero! Thanks for the comment!
where they really get you is if you had by coiceidence bought or had a trial or something with bitwarden that nearly got me once, thankfully i work in cyber secruity and i just logged into my paypal first to see if it was there or rang paypal off google or the saved number ihave. Great awareness video
I kid you not , everyone has a doppelgänger, and you sir are mine. We could be twins I kid you not.🫡🫡🫡
I've had 2 or 3 emails in the past, supposedly from PayPal asking me to update my personal details or my account would be deactivated. I've never had, got or want PayPal.
Why would anyone send money to someone they don't know? I'd tell them to piss off. I keep a fake Gmail account for this type of B.S.
Is that really how Anthony speaks
I got many of these. I closed paypal account and changed credit card
In the message they call the phone operator “executive “ in 1 part and “agent” in another a sign
The very first thing i would do is to log into my PayPal account and look to see. I wouldn't have bothered with the rest of the deal but I suppose you're making a video on what to look out for so that's why you didn't log in straight away.
@@potrzebieneuman4702 Yeah, exactly that! 👍🏻 Go straight to PayPal, check it, remove it. Thanks for watching!
This is a genuinely really useful video. Many thanks!
FB has similar scams. You get a message from a “friend” (a cloned account) asking for your phone number. Then you get the , I got locked out of my account massage, and they say you need to voucher for them, send me the code FB will send. You see where this is going. If you send them your code, they take over your account. They do this to take over FB pages you manage. FB does noting to stop it, or to return your account to you.
What the heck happened to PayPal? I left a few years ago and never went back!! It’s scam city over there!! I had so many close calls I could not take it anymore! Too bad reallly!
You can tell from their Indian accents that it's very much a possible scam and if we get a random phone call on our land line we always let our answerphone kick in first and if it's genuine they will leave a message.
PayPal is a scam. Any dispute will result in PayPal taking your money….no matter what the facts are. They help scammers rip you off. You do not need PayPal, so avoid them.
When I tried to sell a car, I was quickly inundated with requests to buy using PayPal. That made me suspicious. I soon learned that the gimmick is: They buy the car; they tell PayPal you didn't deliver it; PayPal refunds their money; you lose the car and the money.
paypal is a scam, I took them to the ombudsman who found in my favour. paypal lied, lied again and tried to lie to cover the first lies, the ombudsman saw through their lies and awarded me compensation
Well Talk to Elon Musk he owns PayPal
Not anymore, he sold his shares a while back to invest in his Space X thingybob! 😀
if you get a payment request , and you dont know who sent it , ignore it
Even better, report or spam it.
I used PayPal to pay Change Org £5 a month , till one day Change Org took £50 then another £50 and on the day Change Org took another £100,, AND PAYPAL SAID TO ME THEY DONT SEE ANY WRONG DOING, .. This statement i written is 100% true. So now i don't donate to anyone.
thank you ,
it's very scarey who is genuine these days!! thanks for this video and warning.
Wow! Thanks for sharing. US corps sending customer service jobs overseas ultimately helps theseScumScammers.
Very softly and fully described video, from a true gentleman. It was clear and easily understood in layman’s’ terms. I have been in computers for forty years, but I know there is always something new to learn, and this scam is new to me. Many, many thanks sir.
Mate, stay away from paypal. They still owe me money from 18 months ago, and nobody in australia can do anything. They are untouchable as many have found out.
The fact that they were Indian is enough to know it's a scam.
Your advice on this (with explanation) is spot on and should be reported via news media across the globe!!!
If someone sent you an invoice in the post for no reason would you pay it? Just because it’s in PayPal doesn’t mean they can take your money. Just cancel the request and get on with life 🤠
Shock, it's an Indian! They usually call themselves Trevor or Callum, hahaha. Ooooh whatagiveaway!
If you haven't sent anyone money, why would you even respond to someone saying you sent them money
It was a money "request". No money is sent unless you click the Pay button.
I've had a couple pf these. Apparently anyone can send a request from PayPal. That's not going to be abused..... /s
Unfortunately my elderly father went down this route from a spoof phone call pretending to be from his broadband supplier. He trusted the voice on the other end of the line and handed over access codes. Fortunately, his broadband connection was so slow, the scammers couldn’t do much once they entered his bank account (they were doing it via screen share). The bank stopped two £600 payments via ‘Western Union’, then suspended his access to internet banking.
Thank you. Excellent advice.

Ive gotten this scam many times. Even yesterday. I just forward them to PayPal
Never Ever Respond To An Indian Accent Because 100% The Caller Is A Scammer
A lot of Western companies use them on their phone lines...its quite off putting.
@@JessieB_ Thieves the lot of them
I had a genuine helpline with Dell with Indian accent. They really tried to help. No scamming.
Right -On mate , seems there is more of this going on every day . Here in the U S A , it seems even worse ! Thanks for sharing . 4 , Jan . 2025 .
The accents were the real clue.
Right away a clue!
Oh yea , no dought about that .
sounded like they came from the scam capital of the world
If I hear an Indian accent I hang up.
