    I have had a couple of these over the last couple of years. Why would you send someone money, just because they "requested" it? You wouldn't! I rejected the request(s), reported it to PayPal then blocked the requester. Easy. If I am going to pay via PP, I will do it at the site I am purchasing from - which will send me to PP. Do the transaction... money comes out of my bank, and PP, for which I get alerts. If it is a recurring fee, I will set that up with the site, and PP, who then send me notifications of it, and each subsequent payment. There will NEVER be a time when someone needs to send me a request to get money. So if someone DOES; it's a scam. Simple.

    EBay are full of one thing inside a trading they love the dirty act and run away. They don’t want to pay for what they did and you have them being nothing more than dictators who hold funds and what do I think about eBay‘s management? They are no value at all They like insider trading. They proved here in Australia with Morrison and Turnbull who aided and embed theft and were nothing more than the gutter thieves. Unfortunately our legal system could not intervene worthless nothing for the next generation and we only get 100 summers if you’re lucky regards Alf down under.

    do you think Microsoft was right to force windows 11 on TPM only security machines? also what headphones are u guys wearing?

    • @riskycreative
      @riskycreative 3 дні тому

      On TPM - Yes and no! It helps when the big players enforce things and move the baseline upwards. Everyone else gets dragged along, and what at first seems complicated just becomes the norm. Multi-factor authentication is an example. We all now accept it as a feature. It does, however, have a downside. A lot of hardware that has plenty of life left in it will now be discarded or used out of support, with a reduced security posture. The headphones - Luke is wearing Truthear x Crinacle Zero Red and mine are Linsoul 7Hz Salnotes Zero! Thanks for the comment!

    FB has similar scams. You get a message from a “friend” (a cloned account) asking for your phone number. Then you get the , I got locked out of my account massage, and they say you need to voucher for them, send me the code FB will send. You see where this is going. If you send them your code, they take over your account. They do this to take over FB pages you manage. FB does noting to stop it, or to return your account to you.

      When I tried to sell a car, I was quickly inundated with requests to buy using PayPal. That made me suspicious. I soon learned that the gimmick is: They buy the car; they tell PayPal you didn't deliver it; PayPal refunds their money; you lose the car and the money.

    Unfortunately my elderly father went down this route from a spoof phone call pretending to be from his broadband supplier. He trusted the voice on the other end of the line and handed over access codes. Fortunately, his broadband connection was so slow, the scammers couldn’t do much once they entered his bank account (they were doing it via screen share). The bank stopped two £600 payments via ‘Western Union’, then suspended his access to internet banking.
