If you’ve never read Barbara’s book, “Get to The Heart”, which she wrote after her car accident and third baby, it is AN AMAZING READ! It isn’t your ordinary pauper to riches star story. No, Barbara tells the down and dirty hard time she had after her wreck. She had a very serious head injury, which her family was very careful to hide from the public, because she was prone (as many head injury patients are during recovery) to very verbal outbursts that were NOTHING like anyone had ever seen or heard from her. She (although she has been a devout Christian her whole life), could even go off on someone easily with some pretty colorful language. And she even shares even more that most of us NEVER KNEW….She was a smoker. That was something she kept hidden from her fans and even some family and close friends. But as her head injury finally began to heal, her battered body was also slowly healing, but she takes you through some of those darkest days. It truly impressed me, and although none of you know me, (and frankly couldn’t care less I know), but I am a hard sell and hard to impress. I’ve always respect Barbra and her talent. Love to watch her show and music. But I have such a deeper amount of respect for her and her family since reading that book. I myself have been through a serious car accident that took my husband, babies and my sense of being for many years. So “I get it”, and watching this clip of this ceremony from 1985, just makes so thankful AGAIN, that Barbara and her kids had their seatbelts on that day. And GOD sent me another Prince in 1985 and I am so Blessed to still be married to him today in 2024. He tells me I am HIS Greatest Blessing. So I am truly Thankful for the Love I have every day. Cheers all.

Most people say they were born in a Christian home. But being born in a Christian home does not a Christian make you. Being born again from above makes you a christian. Its a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

That entire day was surreal. Walking down Constitution Avenue being greeted by parents and loved ones who we cared for was truly unreal. This song was just the culmination of all of our feelings.
