Remote Brutality 2023 with my HK91 @InrangeTv

I already ran this stage once with my WWSD2020 rifle, but i wanted to try it with another rifle. So what better than a battle rifle! I Used a 66% size steel target because I don't have a full sized steel target. I figure a little bit harder shots wouldn't be a bad thing anyways. I also just used my phone as a timer because I haven't gotten a shot timer yet. @InrangeTv

This is one of the Swedish made Mauser rifles, specifically the M96. It's chambered in 6.5x55 swede. For the time it was a light, fast projectile and I argue one of the best rifle bullets of the time.

So 3 days shipping to local FFL and then Colorado’s wonderful 72 hour waiting period after I fill out and pass the BRC means there at best it’ll be 145ish hours of UA-cam videos of this Gun and Reviews of said platform to watch until this gun lands in my holy hands. Honestly, I absolutely love these WWSD rifles and this is something that the US should upgrade to at this point instead of adopting a heavier weapon, but that’s just my opinion. The only thing I don’t want though is the polymer lower, I personally just want a aluminum lower and with as much carbon fiber as I can get away with. again, that’s just me and your rifle will probably hold up just as well as a normal one. The WWSD AR’s represent what the AR-15/M4 carbine should have been.

Honestly, it's not that bad. Yes It got some kicks of it, but if you use it for hunting, it's good. Different case if u want to sport magdump the whole ammo towards the target tho, u may want another rifle with fewer kicks. That's from me with 175cm height, idk how other users rate it.

Please consider this important point: Rapid fire may be fun for the moment, but it quickly heats up the rifling in the bore. Hot rifling wears away faster than cold rifling. Most Ishapore rifles have had too many episodes of the "Mad Minute" shooting, and the barrels have little functioning rifling as a result (check it before you buy one). The single most important part of an Ishapore rifle is the condition of the rifling because: (1) It was upgraded from the British four lands to six lands by the Indians. (2) The last fifteen inches of the barrel originally had deeper cutting rifling than the rest of the bore. So, a heavier bullet would remain stable in flight well past 300 yards. With repeated Mad Minute shooting, the rifling may have been worn down to the point of severely damaging the weapon's accuracy. (3) The Indian rifling was changed to right hand twist, the Britts loved the left-hand twist. (4) The NATO .308 cartridge is the most readily available and reasonably priced ammo on the market today (Feb 2024) compared to all other WW2 ammo such as the .303, Mauser 6.5 mm, 7mm & 8 mm, etc. I don't suggest an Ishapore 2A-1 rifle ever be customized because it would instantly destroy it's collector's value. But if you need a very accurate long-distance rifle and don't want to spend $2K+ for a custom sniper rifle, simply remove the bayonet holding apparatus at the muzzle and the mid-barrel metal band, making it a "free-floating" barrel. Also, attach a quality optical sight that doesn't block the stripper-clip opening and/or move the rear iron sight from its original position ahead of the receiver to a position immediately behind the stripper clip opening. Disclaimer: A competent gunsmith should be the only one to change, improve, adjust and inspect, all weapons before shooting.
