This is a little tribute to the Rms Olympic ( Titanic's Sister) Olympic's war service earned her the nickname Old Reliable. Olympic had a career spanning 24 years from 1911 to 1935, in contrast to her short-lived sister ships, Titanic and Britannic. This included service as a troopship during the First World War, which gained her the nickname "Old Reliable", and during which she rammed and sank...

    She was old and warm in her bed, she had the pictures of her life after Titanic, she let go of the necklace after 84 years, she told Jacks story. On top of that she is back at Titanic floating on the surface. She told her story, and is ready to go home. It seems the people on the bottom are the ones who died that night while the ones at the top may have died in the years following the sinking. Jack is waiting for her in between.

    Personally, I do believe that the reason why she ended up with the dead passengers and crew after death was because she died in her cabin on the expedition ship, which was very close to the wreck. And now that I think of it, shortly after the camera zooms to the dome, I guess 5 billionares who were about to view the wreck when their vehicle was destroyed enter the grand staircase and seeing how the rest of the people are applauding, they join in as well.......

    Thank you for giving me hope for the after live. I now know Where I wanna go. As to movie theories, I didn't even know such thing existed till recently. However, my mom and I always thought that the intended ending was that Rose dies as she dreams, and hence this was her heaven.

    You are absolutely right. The dream sequence is Rose going back to where she belongs. With Jack. A place she loved with people who loved her. As a Methodist Spiritual Christian, i believe we are all able to see the people we love, who have passed, reunited. Beautiful scene. One of the best in my opinion.

      which is exactly why I believe she was back in the ship once she went to heaven, as you have to die close to the Titanic wreck to join the 1500 passengers and crew there. You probably saw that none of the survivors seemed to be in the crowd. Since none were, from my knowledge, buried there, there was no way they could have returned to the ship after death. And now that I think of it, I can imagine that shortly after the scene, 5 billionaires who were crushed with their vehicle while descending to explore the wreck enter the staircase, then seeing Jack and Rose embracing and the crowd applauding, they join in as well........

    I have a theory about this scene. Rose didn’t throw the stone to the water. She jumped to the water and that’s how she died. Here is why: Did you Know that the shape of a ❤ is the union of 2 human hearts? When Rose went into the water, she met Jack again, meaning that 2 hearts met together for the simple reason of LOVE. All this was represented with her throwing the diamond because the scene would be horrifying to watch Rose never forgot about “You jump I jump” and she really meant it So now the 2 bodies have died, but the true LOVE came back to life because 2 hearts have been reunited

    I never noticed that clock. To me it is also that: 1) The room is full of people from all decks or the Titanic. So there is no class differences in the afterlife; 2) The absence of her ex AND the captain. Because Rose didn't love him and didn't have a good relationship with him and the captain because he is too ashamed and blames himself for the tragedy. There is a case to be made that her husbad and family after the titanic aren't there either though. But I like your theory.

    • @cutercills9x9creates65
      @cutercills9x9creates65 15 днів тому

      Um, the captain was in the crowd. He was the last one to applaud, as it kind of was an allegory to "captain go down with the ship" thing.

    I never had a "happy life" to go back to, I have no friends or really even family except my mom and a brother , my happiness is in Jesus Christ when I die or when I'm raptured I will get a new glorified body in Christ and forever be with the Lord in his kingdom of heaven, and I will see my dad that passed away when I was only 7 years old, he died May 14th 1996 when my he was 47, I have autism and ADHD and a panic disorder my whole life and now GI problems for 9 years, I realized early that happiness/pleasure and the things of this world do not satisfy, my fulfillment is in heaven.

    As a hopless romantic myself, your take on this is quite interesting, & really delves into the human aspect of such an awful tragedy, & what I suppose to be the most evil case of sabotage & mass-murder ever to have taken place. The Titanic tragedy ushered in the US Treasury, IRS, The Fed, The 16th Amendment, & the current destruction of a once Great Nation we're currently witnessing at this moment. Woodrow Wilson & all if his evil lackeys will forever suffer burning if fire, brimstone, & gnashing if teefs. It's time to Make America Great Again, my fellow Patriots. MAGA, & America 1st!

    Guys, if we consider this movie a fantasy one, then yes, the old Rose dies at the end and meets Jack at the clock. Logical for a fantasy movie. But we live in a real world without magic and stuff like that, so, the old Rose is sleeping and this is her dream we see on the screen. In the whole movie this is the only moment/part when we see something strange like that. Well, this is a movie and its goal is to make money on our curiosity, emotions etc. This movie is a magnificent mastepriece of all time and will always be. But you must choose your version: if you believe in supernatural stuff - Rose dies in her bed an joins her lover on the Titanic. Congrats, you are a believer. If you are a materialist, then she is sleeping in her bed and she sees a wonderful dream, which is quite usual, normal, for we all see wonderful dreams sometimes. The end.

    I believe the end of the Titanic movie represents the end of Rose is last passenger to have lived that long enough to tell the ending of the story of Titanic and how it sunk the ending scene is a representation of everybody that was good and that was killed off by the Rothschild government in the United States the Illuminati better said

    I think the ending just makes more sense to assume she died. She lived her full life, died "warm in her bed", and now in the afterlife, she is returning to her true love. Yeah sure, you can make the dream argument, but I think given the fact that she is 100 years old, just dumped the diamond into the ocean after having, for the first time in her life, shared her titanic story, she now has closure. She is ready to die. Maybe all of the other people there are spirits who convened together for this one moment to greet her and celebrate her reunion with Jack, and then they all separate again? Nobody knows how the afterlife works, if an afterlife exists at all, so I think it is fun to have theories like that.

    As much as Cameron tries to leave it up to interpretation, there is too much evidence to the idea that Rose died, from the pictures of her life, to the titanic basically being heaven, right down to the people in the final scene being everyone that died on the titanic. Imagine if the doors opening up are representing of the gates of heaven opening.

    I actually never thought that was death but now i see its all people who died in that scene. So now i question its meaning. I always thought that because she told of jack for the first time she just dreamed about reuniting with him and it was a dream of what may have been- the photos show the life she had- the dream shiw what may have been but we don’t see it- we just see the first moments and the others that are in that scene was just that Rose had a strong connection to them and they always in her mind. The part where we see the ship wreck- its like she dreams to be back. I also believe personally, most of this comes from unusual dreams i had shortly before i suddenly lost important people i loved that we will see those people we lost before us again in some place- i guess i thought that its a dream of what Rose will soon see one day, but for now they live only in her mind and dreams- frozen in time like the clock shows . I think earlier rose says jack only live in my memory now and that this was just her dreaming of that as she is where he died, but that given her age, soon she shall see him again. I hope i explained that ok

    She dies. It’s foreshadowed at least two other times I can think of as well. The first is when she arrives to the boat with all of her luggage. “She doesn’t exactly travel light does she?” That’s a hint that she wanted her most precious belongings there with her at sea. She knew once she got her story out, she was prepared to die. Also when in the water, Jack says to her, “You’re gonna die an old woman at home in her bed, not here, not today.” That sentence would’ve been just as impactful without the “not today” but adding it implies she might *actually* die there, in the Atlantic someday, which she does in fact do. She theoretically died just as Jack said in that line. She didn’t die there that night, she died there 84 years later at sea but also accomplished and at peace in bed. It’s excellent scriptwriting. Also the shot of her in bed is telling too, bc it pans past the pictures of her accomplishing everything Jack said she would do. Lastly, I always kinda gathered that the clock being frozen when the ship went down, and with Jack just staring at it, it’s implied he’s been waiting for her since the minute he died and now she’s finally joined him.

    I always assumed that jack was staring at the clock as he was waiting for her, her time that had come. He knew and turned around to greet her in heaven. That part always touches my soul 😭 as a Christian it’s something so beautiful to think about. Also that same scene at the ending of him looking at the clock was foreshadowed during the movie as well. Such great story telling
