Ive read they wee on un edible food or the cache has ran out, yet I threw out food it peed on it when 3 other foxes were there, then it ate it after the other foxes scattered about. I think it's more than just "book keeping" mind games more like, Na this is crap stay clear guys...meanwhile when their backs are turned, ah great all to myself nice one! I think we underestimate animals and their range of thoughts/thinking as well! They might well book keep and warn off food, but trickery is afoot as well! "Mark" my words....🦊
