It was a fun run. After CC Quick farm is done, I started a "Cheap" farm, which is using the 25% profit margin but without the "hard" mode restrictions - I'm finding it much more enjoyable. Coming soon!

Yeah, my daughter wanted to see what it was. I told her I can determine it on my own, then showed her. She couldn't resist saying it was a junimo's favorite food and at that point I knew what it was.

I so wanted it to be from the slime hutch. But alas, no dreams of sale slimes.

@@MaxxQ200 I did eventually get there. I had some nagging things that I needed to do in Spring and then in Winter I realized I missed a key item from Fall, so it took until the end of year 5 to get there. Definitely could be done much sooner for someone paying attention... Which is not me

@@MaxxQ200 I wasn't at all focused on it until ~year 3, and even then, I kept on forgetting about strawberries and little things here and there. By the end, I mostly slept through weeks (just taking care of the chickens and selling stuff that grew/fermented.

It is important to pause for the important things in life.

Oh no - I was completely oblivious and it wasn't until I eventually saw one on my own that I picked one up. Sad to say, it took me a while. Chat can be helpful, but often, they don't say anything when I'm looking for things.

Yeah that was a rough quest. If I didn't already have my ancient fruit field, I think it would have been more manageable. But I didn't even know about the quest beforehand.

Oh it is definitely something I complain about more than actually dislike. In my offline playthroughs, I tend to have maxed out fishing before anything else because it is "easy" money.

The second fridge in the middle of the kitchen actually works with the counter setup where it is. Not immediately obvious from this video - but it does work. The cooking actually wasn't too bad - turns out I needed to work on friendships more and then pay attention to what I actually needed, rather than selling everything off.

I had been waiting for ~100 of the geodes to give me one. I was excited.

Base game, for fortress mode, you can only play as a dwarf fortress. It is relatively trivial to modify that, but I'll point out that the game is "balanced" around dwarves and not around kobolds, goblins, elves, etc. In other words, the experience is more full for the dwarf fortress than the others. As far as adventure mode - you can do that completely independent of fortresses. There is no "currency" or economy in the game aside from an abstract bartering system. There are coins you can make in fortress mode, but you don't really trade in physical money (unless you specifically decide to do that). This is a sandbox game - you can do just about anything and if there are things you can't do because the mechanics are not in the game, there might be mods to get you there. Still - functions well for the imaginative - so let your creativity flow when playing.

@@TelinArtho Thanks for explaining all this. I thought there was some kind of economy in the game because you seemed to be buying food, equipment, etc. in your adventure mode tutorial/stream. The 41-minute one in the tutorial playlist.

@@Heather-Br Got it - that's a point-based system for starting gear. It isn't tied to a fort or a civilization in the game (aside from what kind of gear is available).
