K-Man S yeah I had just bought a new helmet and hadn't got around to making a mount for it, the fly f2 carbon has a ridge down the middle so needed to make a mount from jb weld and some 3m vhb tape, she's ready to go now lol
I used to race mx, its not as nimble as an mx bike but it will easily perform no problem. I originally wanted an mx bike but on my budget i would have been mad just only riding my bike on the weekends, This bike i can hit all the jumps at the track, attack the trails , and tool around town during the week. Not a single regret here, I absolutely love the 500!!
I dont know if its too late :p but look at my channel for the last vid.. my dream is to have sx suspension on it ahaha. but its still about 30 lbs heavier than mx bike. if you want to jump double and go harder with the stock suspension, its not safe because it doesnt absorb overlanding like mx bike.
wich gear are you using most of the time during those kind of trail riding? i had my verry first mud bath today with my new ktm500exc 2016! i was in second gear most of the time, grest video! i should buy a gopro!
+cadwarrior yeah 100% my dad has aftermarket springs on his cause he's a bit heavier than me. Mine is stock though. just yesterday we took the screen out of the exhaust end cap and adjusted the tps from .58 to .64 to let the bike run richer
+Mark Jaworski me too im overweight for my stock spring, will try it in trails this summer and see if i need to replace it. The bike as enough power for me, will leave the screen alone! I just changed my stock gearing to 14-50 and added doubletake mirrors
+AR15/Glock21 Love it, I use it more for motocross than i do for dual sport but thats why I love it, I can ride it to and from work then take the headlight and license plate off and hit the track. Wouldn't trade it for the world!
I have stock suspension setup as of right now, I've adjusted the rebound a few clicks but that's it. then again I only weigh 165 and the bike is setup for up to 185 so I think that helps not having to make any changes. I do bottom when I over jump some larger jumps, but that's too be expected with the stock suspension riding motocross.
Nothing yet, it's still there. I did the valve adjustments myself at 23 hours and still had the noise. I'm at 55 now, doing another adjustment on Saturday maybe I miss measured one last time. That's about the only thing I can think the sound may be from. Bike runs fine though
valves were out of adjustment, shim popped out and dropped a valve in the cylinder at 90 hrs. Rebuilt and nice and quiet now, gonna do much closer valve checks now lol
Fun day ! I'll have to load some up. Rode them all but ran out of battery for the 200 and xtrainer.
Omg open it up
Do you need your own bike or do they rent ??? Not rich but good clean funnnnn

Put the cam on your helmet...Chest view is unwatchable.

how do u like the bike on the MX track?
I love it! Suspension would be the only thing I would say, but for my ability it works just fine
how does the bike do on the MX track? Im contemplating buying the 500 exc and I wonder how it handles / performs on the MX track..any opinion?>

Thank you!, Yeah 2nd gear mostly, sometimes drop it into 1st. But 1st is pretty useless unless your almost at a standstill lol
+Mark Jaworski thx for your answer!
+cadwarrior of course, thanks for the viewing and commentary. Definitely need to get yourself a go pro!
what camera are you using? its so clear!
it's the go pro hero 4

Yep we just take the headlight and tail light off when we know we are just riding off road
+Mark Jaworski ok! you just converted to xcw version for your offroad rides!, are they completly stock?

How is your suspension setup? My exc bottoms out even if I land smooth on small jumps!

lol yeah she's a little heavy but definitely track worthy
Idk about the 2016s, but the 2019 500EXC is only like 3Lbs heavier than the 350XC. These are sick bikes.
Crimson ghost that's not an ordinary dual sport lol
Smoooooth
500 rulez
you need fmf 4.1 factory
Did you ever figure out what the engine tick was?
