Strange to hear you say it was rainy and you had a bit of snow. Here is Australia it is extremely hot with high humidity! We are going to have the usual hot Christmas! What a cute and well behaved little Yorkie! He looks so cute after his groom! Cheers 🤗🇦🇺

So what you're saying is you only like to do easy dogs, otherwise you complain?
No. If you could give me the timestamp to where I said that, I could check that out and clarify. In no way would I have said such a thing. There must be some sort of misunderstanding.
What a sweet little dog. Do you ever take photos to show these people how bad their dog was? I mean of things that neglectful people probably don’t even look at like her poor little feet? Poop all over her bum? People need to do better by these animals. Unacceptable.
Yes. They should do better. There are many different reasons why dogs come in like this. I do not know what may be going on with the owner's situation for them to not have taken care of their pup so I can not be pointing out the obvious to them because they already know how bad the pup is. There really is no excuse for neglect, but some people don't have the money, health, know-how, or even knowledge. I'm glad I got to care for her as I know she felt so much better afterward! Thank you so much for taking the time to view the video!
The reason why she doesn't want you to touch her face might be due to toothache. Please ask her owner to take her to the vet to have her teeth examined. My dog behaved the same way. She wouldn't let me touch her face. I wondered if she had a bad toothache. Well, she did! So, she had a few extractions. The next grooming was absolutely perfect.
Yeah.. It was because her mouth hurt. She had inflammation. Unfortunately, at 12 years of age, the vet does not do teeth cleaning or tooth extraction because of the high risk of the sedative. Thank you kindly for taking the time to watch! I'm glad your pup is doing better! Healthy mouth happy dog! 🐶🐾✨️🙂
It must be so hard to return a dog to an owner who let her get in that state.
Yes.. It is. 😕
You did an excellent groom on this poor neglected fur baby. Tell the owner he needs to take her to the vet for teeth cleaning.
Thank you. I'm glad she got to visit my table. She seemed much happier when she left 🙂🐶🐾✨️
Unfortunately if the owner let's this poor dog get into this condition, I doubt he will take this poor soul to the Vet. Should be reported.
That's neglect but I wonder if she was abused, I hope not, you never know. She might just be older being so sweet and calm. You really did a good job grooming her, I enjoyed watching.
Thank you, Virginia. 🙂 I don't think she was abused as she seemed pretty calm around her dad. And her dad told me she was 12 years old. When the coat gets this bad, yes.. I categorize this as a form of neglect. Unfortunately, there are many pups out there dealing with this same problem. I wish I could save them all. Thank you kindly for taking the time to watch! 🐶🐾✨️🙂
@@DogGroomingWithElizabethJenn I hope her owner gets her to the vet now for her little mouth. 12 is pretty old. Wonder if she's spayed. Anyhow she must feel great! 🤗
Great video. I only found you a couple of days ago and I 'm really enjoying your videos 👍🏻❤😘😘🍀🏴
Awe! Thanks, Cathy! I'm glad you enjoy my work!.. Thank you kindly for dropping by! Wishing you a great week. 🙂
I'm watching you do the leg, and it makes me think that you must have knowledge in human hair don't you?
Nope. 2 different worlds! Hair is about layering, and coats are about sculpting!
hmmm interesting
She is such a good girl 😂❤❤ except for the face 😢… She had serious toe jam‼️
Toe jam for sure! Thanks for dropping by, Louise! 🙂
He is so adorable . My little Garry has started to go tan on her face like when she was a puppy .. it isn’t tear stains its actually her fur turning colour i just put a photo on my instagram i had another dog who’s fur changed colour twice a year do you have any idea why it happens
Ah! It could be seasonal shedding/age or even sun exposure!
@@DogGroomingWithElizabethJenni never thaught of any of those
I have heard of Elizabeth Jennifer. She is an excellent Dog Groomer & I am so glad she is on UA-cam!!!😊❤ 2:23
You are too kind, Shelly 🥰
❤ I wish my shichon would sit nice through a groom. She had a bad experience with a groomer, now I home groom and it takes a couple of sittings to get her through the process. She a year and a half old and has combination hair. Mostly curly. When it gets long, over an inch, it looks like dreads.
Ohh. That's really sad to hear, Suzan 🥺.. Your little one will need to gain trust again.. I have seen dogs completely change after a few grooming sessions after they've had some bad experiences elsewhere.. But I also have some that just won't let go of the anxiety, unfortunately 😕. The key is to be patient and understanding. Be sure to try to get through the groom with kind talking and eye contact, letting your pup know it's ok. It may take a long while before your pup gets comfortable again, but it's worth a try! Thank you for your kindness in dropping by and viewing my video. Wishing you an awesome week, util next time! 🐶🐾✨️🙂

🙂
hello! fellow dog groomer here! you did a great job with this. i’m shocked you got a 7 thru, i’d probably just go in w a 10 but i understand w her age and not knowing whats under that you run the chance of giving a free wart removal 😅. she’s being so good for an older lady in her condition! ppl need to understand stand older dogs especially hair cut breeds are very hard to groom. you have a lot of things to consider. heart problems, stress seizures, dental issues, stress in general, warts & lumps you have to worry about l etc. you only have a certain amount of time to get them in and out. you’re not going for looks just comfort and cleanliness. the hair cut is irrelevant. GREAT. job!
Thank you so much! My heart was breaking the whole time.. But I'm glad she came to my table. She wasn't too keen about getting her face groomed, but I guess I managed to get a little cuteness going 🥰. Thank you for stopping by!
I’m sorry but the pet parent is being disrespectful to you. They know their dog behaves like this but haven’t done anything to help you do their grooming. At the very least he should be sedated. Your life and career are at risk with his behaviour.
I see what you mean. The client is working with a behaviorist.. I'm still grooming him, but there is not much difference in his behavior. I have found ways to be able to groom him.. wearing gloves now! Thanks for taking the time to drop by, Carmen! 🙂🐶🐾✨️
Excellent video! To increase its reach, try including additional relevant keywords in your tags and description. This could enhance its discoverability in search results. Let me know if you’d like more advice!
Thanks! I'll look into that.
I am so angry with the owner, how dare he let that little dog get so bad? That is pure animal neglect, no excuses! She obviously has pain in her mouth, maybe rotten teeth and a jaw infection and should see a vet. I wouldn’t like to give her back to the owner, I am so worried! You did a fantastic job though! 🤗🇦🇺
Thanks! I totally understand the anger. I'm just glad she came in when she did. Thank you so much for dropping by! 🙂
I still don't want to ever do nails!
😄 well.. It's always scary when we are not used to it!
I watch all of your videos, and I've no idea what all that hype was about. You are so gentle and caring with your pups...
Some people on UA-cam sometimes just look for reactions. I reacted a bit. I tried to stay as professional as I could. I really have to be sure I remember who I am. I know that I have the utmost respect for these pups and give them the best and safe care possible. At least this time, I wasn't called a masked idiot 😄

Thanks a bunch for making Shani feel much better, you're a very wonderful person. More blessings 🙏❤ 😊...just subscribed. Take care 🙂❤ 😊
Thank you so much for your support!.. I am more than glad that this little one came to visit me. Believe it or not, it could have been worse she had no skin issues, and I'm so happy for that. Those little paw pads, though... I'm happy I got to care for her. Wishing you a wonderful day! 🐶🐾✨️
❤❤❤
🥰
Shani resulted as a cute Shih Tzu Puppy. She may be old, be she looks young & adorable. Nice work as usual Elizabeth Jenn!!!☆☆☆☆☆ ❤❤❤❤❤ 36:53
Thank you very much!
Poor baby. I would have begged someone to loan me the money to have her groomed if I was unable to do it myself. I was not able to groom my Christa, but, I got her in to be groomed. She was never in this shape. But, you never know what choices a person has to make. Do I get my medicine or get my dog groomed? Get groceries? Pay this bill? Sad. But, she's there now & I know you will do your best work, Liz. 6:02
Yes.. I'm so glad she found her way to me.. She is feeling so much better now! 🙂
Do you let the owners know what neglect does to dogs?
Of course.. They are told about skin conditions, nails, pain, and whatnot. The situation is always delicate, letting the clients know this can trigger guilt, and some are just not aware of how bad it is. Some clients don't have money and some are sick or just older.. In this case, this client has had her for 12 years now. His wife passed away and has been dealing with lots. In hopes he sees me again before another year goes by.
She really doesn't like the face part
Nope..
Omg. Just starting this video and poor pup
🥺
She was so well behaved up to the bath . You did an amazing job she didn’t look like the same dog she must feel so much better
Yeah.. she sure does feel better for sure! I'm glad she came in, and I had the chance to make her feel better.. and those toes, soooo much of her skin was coming off!
@@DogGroomingWithElizabethJennsuch a shame .. i once watched a rescue programme on uk tv and the dog was so matted that its feet fell off when they shaves it . Luckily the dog was ok and could still run around on grass
What a cutie..Her tongue is to big for her mouth..lol.. great job Elizabeth
😄.. That little tongue is the sweetest. Thanks for dropping in! Funny to find your comment today as I thought of you guys earlier! I was wondering about your podcast. How is it going!?.. I'll go see if there are any new videos posted. 🙂. I hope all is good at your end!
@DogGroomingWithElizabethJenn hope your doing well on your end Elizabeth, Anthony and I are doing great, podcast is doing well we will be posting this week..We still would love to have you on..
Great! I'll be checking that out. And you know where to find me when you are ready 🙂
Does that happen often that they pee and defecate like that? Can't be fun :(
Yup! every day. Even sometimes on the table!
@@DogGroomingWithElizabethJenn Wow...I think I prefer my job..lol
What a good little dog! He looks amazing. I burned out 2 years ago and had to take a break. Now, I take a lot more time off. I only work 4 days a week and I take one 3 day weekend a month. It’s a much better work-life balance and keeps me happy. Also, I have an editor. No way I could keep up with all that too.
Ahh I've been thinking of taking a day here and there also. Ever since I started UA-cam, the uploads and editing and whatnot takes up a bit more of my time. Thanks for dropping by! 🙂
He looks cute! I can definitely relate to grooming the feisty dogs. Sometimes they make me laugh. It also makes me jump when they do it suddenly. I can’t wait to see Shanny, once she’s all done.
Hi, Donna! Yeah.. they do make me jump sometimes also. 😂.. Shanny was a bit difficult for her head, but she turned out so cute!.. I'll be posting the video on monday. I'm so happy I got to save her face and not have to shave it down! Thanks for dropping by! 🙂
He had some faces to pull 😂 .. great groom really enjoyed watching …… you teasing with the next groom knowing we have to wait all weekend but i am sure its worth the wait
Thanks, Mandy! Haha!.. I'm pretty sure you'll find Shanny's groom worthwhile! 🐶🐾✨️🙂
Nice to see your white fish has some golden friends :3
Yup! I rescued them!.. The previous owner was going to let them freeze in his pond this coming winter! 🥶 🐟 🐠
Poor baby. She has that tail tucked in tightly...Great video once again :)
Thanks!
Such a cutie .. my little border terrier cross bedlington had allergies which caused her to have itchy skin she had to get Cytopoint injections every 4 weeks costing £100 each but it made her less itchy so was worth the price
Oh my.. I can only imagine how that itch would drive me crazy. I'm glad you could keep your pup comfortable. I talked to Rhonda's mom, and she said she was going to talk to her vet. Thanks for dropping by, Mandy. It's always nice to find one of your comments on my video! 🙂
Yup..it was a tick bite and they diagnosed me with ring worm, and because it wasn't immediately treated, I ended up with what they call late stage lyme...so if anyone out there gets a tick bite, make sure to get treatment immediately.
Just horrible 😞
omg that thing is huge! The whole time you were pulling, my whole body muscles were completely tight
Me too. I was feeling itchy afterward, just thinking of it! That tick was almost done its meal.. poor pup must have had it there for a while.
That's a nice groom and great scissor work, it would be great for many dogs...but a Coton de Tuléar is meant to have long hair, not shaved down like a poodle for lazy owners. They need their hair for protection and ventilation. And good puppy, needs some water.
Thanks! Well.. I would not say the clients are lazy. Many of my clients have kids and jobs and don't really have the time for extensive brushing like these cotons need every day. I believe that education before adoption is the best idea.. Many clients were told by the breeder that the dog needs brushing every day, all goes well for the first 6 to 9 months, and then trouble starts. The breeder doesn't really mention that it's practically a dematting session every other day. I don't feel that the breeder mentions that part. I groom so many cotons, and the clients all tell me they never were told how much real work it takes to care for these dogs. These dogs mat just by looking at them. Anyhow. I feel that the clients that do keep them maintained in a shorter cut due to lack of time or being sick or just unable or are not too good with the brush (lacking in brishing and dematting techniques)... even fear hurting the dog.. I believe they are taking responsibility for the dogs' well-being. After 14 years of grooming this breed, I have yet seen any coat or skin problems on a shorter cut. Are you a happy owner of a coton?.. a breeder? Thank you for taking the time to stop by my channel.
There are many reasons why a long-coated dog of any breed, Cotons included, would benefit from a shorter cut that has nothing to do with "laziness." My middle-aged Coton has issues with body pain, which makes regular brushing sessions distressing, so I keep him clipped short to reduce stress and pain. Improved hygiene is another concern, especially for senior dogs or ones with medical issues. Additionally, as the channel owner has commented, the owners may not have the means or ability to care for a long-coated dog and instead rely on professional groomers to help manage the owner and dog's needs.
Wow what an awesome photography experience
I miss photography
@@DogGroomingWithElizabethJenn you are so multi talented
Such an awesome talk! Thank you so much. That's pretty much my life, record edit, but I've been learning. You're right, it is so important to pay attention to how we feel, and look to what we need...
❤️
How do you make sure not to cut the whiskers while trimming around that area of the face??? I’m about to trim my MorkiePoo’s head and face and I’m just curious, as I definitely do not want to cut his whiskers, as I have read that it can mess with their sense of awareness, equilibrium and some other things. Thank you, and by the way, you did an awesome job with this doggo!!!
Hi! I'd probably go with a short (blunt tip) pair of scissors and wiggle my way through the wiskers. It's a bit tougher getting it done this way, but if you really don't want to cut the whiskers, it would be the only way to go! And thanks for stopping by and watching my video!
🤩👌🇳🇱
Thanks!
