Update. The P1 now (Feb 2015) is a fair bit faster than when I made this video. I will shoot another video using Launch Control in the same location soon.

Thanks for the comments guys. In answering some of your questions the ECU is the Motec 800 with activations. The top speed of the car is 197 mph at 8200 rpm (not 8000 as I mentioned earlier) in 6th. 60 - standstill is 2.5 seconds. 0 - 60 is just over 3 seconds but launch needs to be perfect using LC. We hope to get a video of 0-60 and back to a standstill in under 6 seconds, just haven't got around to doing it yet. Engine isn't a 2.5 but originally a 2.0 and now a 2.1. I noticed a screw in one of my tyres before this run so I shut off early just in case.

PS At the end of the lane in this clip was a farm. The cops turned up as we set up the camera to film another launch taking a good look at what we were doing then they carried on. The farmer had phoned The Police reporting people shooting on his land. No guns just a fook off exhaust ;)

There will be more launch control videos coming this year guys.. Filming a few nighttime launches as well as day time clips. Have found some cool locations :) In answering some of your questions:- I have 9 settings for LC.depending on surface & conditions. Dial setting 1 = 2800 rpm through to setting 9 = 7500 rpm. Setting used for this clip was 4 at roughly 4 grand on the rpm. The rattle you hear is the triple plate hydraulic clutch. Have fun and we will be back with some goodens in 2013 :)
