After traveling through the mountains, the trendy cities barely interest me anymore. The outdoors people seem to be way cooler and more friendly.

Don't come to Denver. You'll be very diappointed! It is barely a step above LA, thanks to our very liberal Mayor and Govenor. Illegals that are bombarding the metro area are largely causing crime rates to jump everywhere in the State.

its surprising to me that some of these have a "max load" of only 40 pounds. In boy scouts I had a cheap high sierra, don't the model, and carried 80+ pounds for 2 weeks straight without issues on the pack itself.
