Brad Haworth: Voice of the Bombers
Local award winning radio personality Brad Haworth spent 34 years on
radio station KTLO, establishing himself as a key voice of the Baxter County community, from Bomber sports play-by-play to a wide variety of on-air programing.
Over the years he was named Arkansas' top sports play-by-play
announcer by the Associated Press more than 20 times and was added to the Sports Hall of Honor at Mountain Home High School in 2018.
In 2020 there was an abrupt change. A battle with the mysterious
illness, "long COVID" came calling and Brad’s world hasn’t been the same since. He has traveled a hard and inspiring road but still has not returned to broadcasting. Brad’s tells his own story in this candid video account.

@@johncarter1150 If I didn't watch it, or understand it, then how do you think I would have known it was incorrect and outdated?. You sound a little ..uhm, let's say, "frustrated" Random aggression toward others is a sure sign. You probably wouldn't be so lonely and bitter all the time if you tried to work on yourself, instead of fix others..

This speech is a mixture of some probable factual history and some major and glarring absence of facts for the purpose of clear explanation: note how Freda only mentions John Watts and no other chiefs. She refers to the treaty of 1817, but does not state what led up to this treaty and what chiefs migrated here, including their rank. She then begins talking about John Ross. She doesn't know that John Ross traveled here in 1814 commissioned by the Cherokee agency in Tenn.to deliver goods. He traveled with sub.agent William Lovely.( I have copies of this signed by him, Tholuntuskee, Black Fox and Kaneetoo) Additionally ,the speaker does not explain enough of the issues in the Cherokee Nation, in the east.1.The relationship with the U.S.inculding the Cherokee agency ,its staff and people who worked there as interpreters and traders and the agents. For example, the head agent was Return J.Meigs.His subagent was William Loverly, who was commissioned to Arkansas, in 1814,to try and make it appear as though the U.S.was earnest in their suggestion, that all Cherokee should migrate to Arkansas, per his speach to the Cherokee National council in 1809.This was the period when Chief Tohluntuskee and 1009, Cherokee migrated here. This subject is important and a clearer more accurate presentstion is in dire need. I have most of the microfilms of the Cherokee agency.I can give s speech with documentation and slowly explain the most important aspects. This includes the 1818 speech by president James Monroe to the Cherokee delegation, who traveled from here to meet the others at Knoxville, before heading to Washington.
