I do not agree that the budget is the responsibility of the management company. The management company prepares the first draft of the budget. All authority to approve the budget lies with the association.

It means you don't actually own the property. The HOA has the power to foreclose on your property if you don't keep your lawn under 2 inches. If the powers that be don't like you, They will fine you to death over stupid petty shit. And if you don't pay, you just lose your house, and you have absolutely no legal recourse..

I will never ever buy a property in an HOA. I will not allow my personal Liberty to be walked on, simply because a bunch of busybodies think they ought to set some kind of "groundrules" for me to abide by simply to live where I want to. absolutely disgusting.
