Glad you enjoyed these beautiful places despite the humid weather. HK is indeed expensive! I remember going to the 10k buddha monastery and seeing a lot of monkeys during sunset.

@@razon87 that’s great news, it’s an amazing trip! I didn’t book any accommodation in advance except for a hostel in Thakhek the first night. I’d recommend Sabaidee Guesthouse (you just show up) on the first night and Kong Lor resort on the second night.

Airport lounges EVERYWHERE are operated. The high quality ones are not worth a $500 a year credit card fee, or having to pay to a 1st or business class ticket. They are usually full by 9 am and have horrible wait time. The ones that you do not have to wait on are because they are basic lounges, with crappy/no food, no showers, poor wifi. I have more fun wandering the terminals, seeing the sights. Especially at the airport in Singapore. So much to see and do there. No need for a lounge.

Oh for sure and I have no interest in lounges usually but I was sick and so having somewhere to rest was very nice! It was good for a basic lounge (I am a backpacker)

We went to Tokyo last month and we were sweating a lot in NAIA because there isn't any aircon where you deposit the luggage, and the line is too long (1 hr just to deposit luggage, another hour to check your passport). Meanwhile, the Tokyo airport has a train going through it and it's airconditioned in any corner.
