Global Foundation For Ocean Exploration
Приєднався 1 гру 2014
The Global Foundation for Ocean Exploration is a non-profit engineering organization that designs underwater robots to explore remote places and share these explorations with the world. We are your "one-stop shop" for all things ocean exploration - from ROV's and AUV's to data management to filmmaking and outreach.
We seek to develop and advance a National Ocean Exploration Program with global reach and relevance by providing current and future generations with the training, opportunity, and motivation to explore, understand, interpret and protect the world’s oceans. GFOE is dedicated to the idea that to continue to advance our knowledge of the natural world, we must not only inspire the next generation, but also provide meaningful opportunities to enable them to make lasting contributions.
Please visit engineeringfordiscovery.org to learn more about our current projects and how we can help you explore the ocean.

Answers to questions you might have:
How were these filmed?
All of the footage was gathered with remotely operated vehicle Deep Discoverer aboard NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer.
Where was this filmed?
All of this imagery was filmed on the Musicians Seamounts, an underwater mountain chain in international waters north of Hawaii, during the Deep-Sea Symphony: Exploring the Musicians Seamounts expedition. You can learn more about the expedition here: oceanexplorer.noaa.gov/okeanos/explorations/ex1708/welcome.html
How deep is this?
This imagery was taken over multiple ROV Deep Discoverer dives, which is rated between 500 meters and 6,000 meters.
What are the two red dots?
The two red dots are from lasers that are exactly 10 cm apart, which helps scientists measure the size of animals and formations on the sea floor.
What music was used?
The music is being used under a license with Motion Array. In order of appearance:
The Serenity of the Universe by GoodSounds
Peace of This Infinite Ocean by Ashot Danielyan Composer
Calm Your Mind by Sound4stock
Flying in the Dream by Ashot Danielyan Composer
Deep Meditation by Motion Audio
Airy Morning by Ashot Danielyan Composer
Space in my Soul by SunSmileMusic
