    Reducing the voltage to 6V is essentially reducing the speed of your motor by half. Maybe you were pulling too fast at 12V for the filter, your combustion zone or for both.

    I think whit the right modifications to the gasifier like heat recouberation for the air supply en pre drying inside the gasifier one can get a blue flame whitout filter! Even whit low grade woodchips as fuel, the biggest difference I found was modifying the air nozzles! ( look for the twin fire en dubble fire gasifier design )from experience filter bags just clog up in a few hours if not minutes 😅

    Whit some modification on the air supply you can run on wood chips you can make them whit sticks en twigs not high quality blocks 😅this takes Les effort to because the chopper machine is doing Al the horribly dangerous work inside it 😊

    • @toddreuschel
      @toddreuschel 5 місяців тому

      Good thought. Do you think the burn time would last very long if it were in wood chip form?

    • @oscarverwey
      @oscarverwey 5 місяців тому

      @@toddreuschel it's al about getting a low tar flame in the end, no price is to high if you don't have to deal whit tar , wood chips require different air nozzles to penetrate dieper in the glow bed (different critical velocity) but the kw/kg is the same , however the bulk density is lower so a bigger hopper is required per hour of run time, I would Star whit adding a first stage nozzle pointing down around 10/15cm above the air belt nozzles in the middle of the throat this way you get a more as almost no tar gas can get through the middle at low en moderate gasifier load , look for (dubble fire gasifier design) to get the picture

      @mohammedazeez2143 5 місяців тому

      I have tried operating on Reeds the density of which is close to that of wood chips. The result was amazing, but the reaction quickly ends due to the lack of density. Therefore, I suggest that the chips be compressed mechanically so that the operating speed is sufficient. @toddreuschel

    Anyone with a newer sealed wood burning stove has seen this gas in action. At ~ 451F (I measure at flue) the wood goes from yellow to a blue green plasma that forms about an inch above above the wood - this is the gasified wood. If you don't see this in your stove its burning too cold.

  • @luigiaqua2263

    The wood gasifier may be a good replacement for solar Pv in winter time, as there’s not enough sun and heat of cooling the engine could heat up a building. Instead of running a car, such an engine could run a generator to load my batteries. Planning it now to get it ready for next winter.

    Awesome work! Pine has a lot of tar and oils in it hence more orange flame, careful as it can clog up your genset. It would be very interesting to see your reactor running on charcoal! Charcoal is supposed to have the cleanest burn to give you a blue flame. Also adding a water drip to the grates will inject steam and produce more H2 as well. Would you be able to do a charcoal run and post your findings?

    Congrats on a successful start. 2 things if I may. Injectors are dry firing, may want to disable them as well if you decide to run for a prolonged amounts of time and you need a better filter, if you look at the hose when you are accelerated it sucked a lot of moisture in, this is dangerous. Looking forward to your next videos!
