I'm a super multi-instrumentalist. What I post here are mostly performed all by me. And they are not "polished" products that I shot pretty much all in 1 take.
I believe all of those polished products are not making us better listeners. But rather not appreciate imperfect live performances.
So I try to go right up against this trend by not editing to unreasonable perfection.

Black Bird finger style ukulele solo (not an accompaniment!)

It wasn't easy, but I just wanted to try. There are plenty of people on this UA-cam world who play accompaniment to this song, saying the they are playing Black Bird, but they are accompaniments. The song is not complete without melody. I wanted my uke to play the entire package, so there it is.

IMHO - one of the best Coda EDC "flute" (in fact: ~ 2 chamber Ocarina) presentation on UA-cam 😇 → both registers used, very nice tune also, splendid performance.
I saw one in a museum at the Museu da Música de Timbó in south Brazil around 2010, probably still there. I thought it was called an Boehm system oboe.

Not jist basically, actually. The Sarousaphone was designed for outdoor military bands so that wooden oboes wouldn't crack outside.

Very nice. I thought I’d seen all your coda videos but I missed this one.
I guess maybe the Boehm System Oboe has a Special sound akin to a Trumpet so maybe that could be used if Trumpetists aren't available or need "reinforcements". The C Clarinet has also been revived due to alot of improvements that were made to it & now it's becoming very popular.
Some Oboes have an additional Key that allows you to play donw to a Low A, there are Oboes out there that can play down to Low F w/ extra Keys.
The thumb plate acts as an anchor for the left thumb which is why hal leonard should extend E.E.I. for Band the Thumb Plate Oboe Part w/ Books 2 & 3 (as well as a Pt. 3 Piano accompaniment part, etc).

@@mitchoboe_old family heirloom, recently passed down, no case. Recent research suggest it may be a Cor Anglais, it measures 24.5 inches not including the reed… a mystery still…

@@mitchoboe_old This one has the same fingerings as the Clarinet & the same range so it's called the Clarinoboe.
@@mitchoboe_old Since the Boehm Oboe has the same Range as a Clarinet (I'm not yet sure if it did but if it does than we're pretty lucky) it could be a great Doublers instrument. Extending the Oboe's Range lower than C down to F (maybe lower than that) would allow us to take our music arrangements to a whole new level.

Fascinating in a number of ways...thanks, Mitch! Not on topic, but as someone who often struggles with a single language, anybody who's fluently multi-lingual amazes me.
Thank you, Bill! I've been in the US for 32 yrs, since my days at Eastman S of M ('93, Mr. R. Killmer), so besides my native language Japanese, English is my daily language. I still learn new English words/expressions everyday!
