Pretty sure I know the answer to my own question but: To apply the textures to a model such as a stylized logo (lots of extrusions), do I need to UV map the mesh so that it all appears to work together/ line up the textures or are there any shortcuts or nodes that can assist with that part of the project. Love the material I created but not enough in this quick logo budget to justify the UV mapping portion since it is not my strongest skill out of the pipeline. Usually a hand painter on Zbrush so far :]

@cglounge What do you do after pasting the channels? scale then or merge then scale?
Amazing man! I did try to model it, but i want to 3d print it. I got problem because seema like the surface doesn't have thickness. I mean with 0.2-0.4mm nozle i should have at least 1mm thick all surface. I did try solidify, but at complex shape is just meas up everything.
Just use shrinkwrap for nice surfaces with no cuts.
If you make the whole scene file available for a decent price, I will buy it. Free would even be better 😅
Hello, Thank you for the very cool vid! Could you explain a bit more why you changed the HDRI Image from RAW to the Linear Setting? I've seen other people say to leave it in Raw Color space - would love your thoughts. thank you!
I think its because raw is non colour, whilst linear incorporates colour. I would use RAW for normal maps or specular maps
