PCjr rocks
Song about the PCjr. Lyrics by ChatGPT. Music by Suno. Pictures randomly pulled from my album of PCjr adventures.
---------------
In eighty-four, a legend was born,
With keys and a screen, breaking new dawn.
The IBM P C junior, small but bold,
In the world of tech, its story's told.
With an eighty eighty eight, at four point seven seven megahertz,
Bringing computing to our desks.
One hundred twenty eight K of RAM, expandable to more,
The IBM P C junior, we adore.
With a chicklet keyboard, wireless and new,
Infrared connection, a tech breakthrough.
Cartridge ports ready, for games and more,
A versatile machine we can't ignore.
With an eighty eighty eight, at four point seven seven megahertz,
Bringing computing to our desks.
One hundred twenty eight K of RAM, expandable to more,
The IBM P C junior, we adore.
C G A graphics, colors on display,
16-color palette, leading the way.
Three-channel sound from a chip so sweet,
P C junior brought the world to our feet.
Five and a quarter floppy, storage at hand,
Data and programs, at our command.
Joystick ports, for gaming delight,
The P C junior, in the spotlight.
With an eighty eighty eight, at four point seven seven megahertz,
Bringing computing to our desks.
One hundred twenty eight K of RAM, expandable to more,
The IBM P C junior, we adore.
So here's to the machine, from years gone by,
Pioneering tech, reaching for the sky.
The IBM P C junior, forever known,
A cornerstone of the computing throne.

Recorded off a real PCjr (yay). This movie doesn't have the fast pace and fancy music like a lot of videos. Oh well. * PCjr boot screen * Pitfall II (cart) * River Raid (cart) * Mine Shaft (cart) * Crossfire (cart) * Mouser (cart) I have no idea how to play this Check out part 2 as well!
I remember mouser. It was not fun enough for me to remember much about it
This was my first game on a "PC". True memories right here
there was a football game I had for the PCjr that I played the hell out of as a kid
made by imagic
Touchdown Football?
@@KurtRichterCISSP that's the one!
4:32 I didn't know at the time, but the music for Alley Cat is probably based on "Stray Cat Strut" by Stray Cats
2 disks
is Kings Quest II a cartridge or is it a floppy disk?
a couple of the first few games i remember playing when i was 7-8 years old was lode runner for IBM and my dad had a PCjr with Mouser. Mine Shaft looks strangely familiar to me too...feel like ive played it before but not positive. was a long time ago. Good memories. RIP dad 12/18/13
6:50 I miss that font.
You may have been playing it on a computer with CGA graphics, which only had magenta, cyan, black, and white as colours. ☺
holy crap the graphics for pitfall 2 are astounding. since the pcjr failed shouldn't these games also work on a tandy1000? i might have to dust off the old thing to find out
pitfall 2 for IBM pcjr was on a cartridge. Tandy had no cartridge slot
thank you for sharing! brings back lots of great memories
@British1500 With good reason. :) I was surprised to learn just how many computers and game consoles use that TI chip, or some variation of it.
