i ve build that armor five years ago. yeah prices are different now but if u find a smith who s willing to do the plates for you. like in my case.. and DIY. at that moment i think i ve payed around 100- 120 euros for the plates. maybe today will found someone for 150-200. i will never agree with the prices for smiths today. yeah, yeah prices went up for materials and stuff . but things kinda double in prices so. my addvice if u want to make an armor , order plates and stuff and diy. it will be at leats 50 60 perfect cheaper. or find some good material , do the plates urself and find a factory or something , for tempering and hardening.good luck!

Thank you! After 4 years it still looks good! Minor damage to the wool, one leather strap broke but i ve replace it. I still use it in buhurt.

Hey.. Just because you can get the measuerments by mistake wrong and all of your work will be for nothing. Plus maybe you don t have a good pattern for it.

@@dragosboboc9198 ahhh see but im in the american south so not only is it out of place culturally but its also hot and humid so i have to be carefull going out in the heat. Question though, would adding fabric on the inside inhibit usage, as in if i didnt wear a gambeson i want something between me and the steel plates

RockmeHellsing the nails are from copper. You can t find them at Hornbach. Aliexpress for brass. Yes cut them then and rivet with a small to medium size hammer. And that s it. Ps don t kill your neibours like i did. Home made aparment CoP. (y)

Thanks man that will help me, i ordered a nice corazzina from forge of sven and always need rivets for Reapair of my rest armor parts i have parts for a brigandine here at home but with these homemade rivets it will be easier to build it, greetings from germany.
