Stroked and Blown SRT - 2008 JGC SRT8 walk around
Hello everybody, well unfortunately the time has come when I have to sell my jeep. Selling to pay my house off faster but there isn’t another vehicle I’d rather own. Here is a quick walk around to get a better idea how it currently looks and sounds which is of course is amazing 😆👍
Going to miss it terribly when it goes!

Thing probably is rusted out by now. Jeep is junk quality. Although the engine is cool and I actually think the body is sick along with the looks I wonder how they hold up over time
@@jdsofar the thing is probably rusted out by now? That sir, is a clown comment 🤡🤦🏻♂️ I actually sold the jeep in July of last year, and it looked incredible when I sold it. Maybe you should look at the most recent videos that were posted just last year before it went to the United States. I miss it terribly and wouldn’t even have sold it if it wasn’t for my family needing things more than I did. Thanks for posting though 😒👍
@@GordonStudent Jeeps are known for being bad quality. Anything Chrysler. There is salt here in Canada on the roads so I figured it would be rusted you know.Dont get me wrong I love them smooch and am looking at buying one im just worried about the quality of it. I dont wanna spend 30k for something that rides like shii or is rusted. Im looking at one with only 90k kms so well see
@@jdsofar well first I disagree with your assessment on Jeep and was offended by that nasty comment, so when you start by claiming that my beautiful Jeep is probably rusting out by now and that jeeps are junk, expect some flack back in your direction man because that’s straight up rude to come to my channel to say. If you’re serious about buying one and are looking for a daily driver, they are a great daily, but if you’re going to daily drive it in our winters with the salt and crap they put all over the road then you are definitely going to be dealing with rust problems unless you’re taking extremely good care of it and washing it every day. That is the same for any vehicle out there whether it’s an Audi or a Ford or Chevy or a BMW doesn’t matter. You have to take care of them if you’re going to daily drive them in this climate. I drove mine as a daily driver for the first four years I had it and it did a great job, but it’s high maintenance keeping something nice that you drive in the winter. Personally I wouldn’t drive anything that you want to keep really nice in our winters unless you are willing to put in a LOT of work, keeping it super clean and washing it constantly. When I decided to build mine and do an engine and everything else and invest a ridiculous amount of money into it, it never saw winter again. It was parked from November until May. So if you’re looking for my opinion on one that has less than 90,000 km for $30,000 I think that is too high. I think a reasonable amount is probably more like $25,000 if it’s an 2008, 09 or 10 because they are much nicer and have way better interiors than the 2006 and 2007 models. Most of these jeeps (2006-2010) now run anywhere from $16,000 on the low end to about $25,000 on the higher end typically. Good luck with your decision either way but if you think jeeps are junk then it’s simple, don’t buy one dude.
@@GordonStudent Im talking 28k Canadian which seems like a solid price. USD agree would be too much. And ya I have a car wash membership that sprays the underside of the vehicle and often go every other day in the winter so im sure that helps a lot rinsing the salt off other than that I can get chemically sprayed underneath to prevent rust every single year
@@GordonStudent All the other jeeps for sale in Canada have a lot more kms usually 140+ so this is actually one of the lowest in the nation and the guy isn't asking an absurd amount. Seems reasonable actually and I checked every car in the US market and they actually seemed to be priced even more in the states.
SRT8 Jeep kept up with the Trackhawk pretty good.
Yeah, and to be honest that trackhawk is running full, upper and lower pulleys on the maximum boost you can get on full E85 fuel with a drag pack and drag wheels and tires. Really it was his eight speed transmission that helped the win because you could see when we were first going that they were quite evenly matched. I did make it to the 8th mile before he did but his transmission took over. I’m very proud of this build as it’s only on 94 octane pump, gas and just 14 to 15 pounds of boost. If I had converted to ethanol or race fuel on this thing, it would’ve been a much different outcome. Thanks for watching 👍
@@GordonStudent oh yeah man, anytime I enjoy performance car content all the time. And yeah the 8speed trans in these scatpack , Hellcat, and Trackhawks is at another level vs the 5speed 4sure.
DEAM!🔥🌪💣👍🤝✊

Sadly, it’s already sold. It’s currently still in my garage, but it’s waiting on a transportation booking to take it to Tennessee to its new owner.

Always love that jeep but why you selling the jeep?
Definitely not because I want to. I’m selling it because I’d like to get my house paid off quicker. Makes sense for the family. But there’s nothing I’d rather be driving.
I will choose this vehicle over any modern-day SRT

What shop worked on your jeep bro, badass build
Is the jeep stock
Oh no neither of them are stock. That Jeep has a 6.1 stroker engine with a Vortech V2 Ti blower but it’s on pump gas. The VW Golf R is far from stock as well and currently runs high tens.
@@GordonStudent so this guy thinks a stage 1 golf r will beat a 2010 srt8 jeep and i dont think its right
And on top of that my mates dad is getting a whipple supercharger soon and i said it defo wont beat it after it has that, it will be pushing around 760 hp
@@joshpatch8233 Well what is a stage 1 golf R run? Because this particular R took his rear seats out and pretty much everything he could to get into the high tens. A stock WK1 Jeep those are the ones from 2006 to 2010, usually run 13’s depending on what the density altitude is. For example most WK1 Jeeps around here at our elevation in a DA of about 4000 will run high 13’s at around 100mph. However the same jeep running at say Atco raceway which is at sea level will be in the low 13s at probably 104+mph so density altitude plays a big role. But I guess it all depends what a golf R stage one runs. As for a Whipple supercharger not really sure what he’s installing but if it’s on a 2010 SRT8 jeep it must be something extremely custom because Whipple does not offer a supercharger for the WK1. I know a few guys that have done it but they had to modify everything greatly to get it to work. If the 6.1 engine is still stock they can usually only handle probably 600 to the rear wheels without issues. When mine was making 550 to the wheels I ended up blowing through a transmission fairly quickly. Pricey hobby for sure lol. Also when I had a Vortech V3 kit on my Jeep with a stock engine it made about 550 to the wheels and ran high 11’s at about 115mph again in a typical 3000-4000 DA on pump gas.
@@GordonStudent his is 4wd ifk what one it is but it looks the same interior as urs
Do you still have this suv and how many mpg on highway
I do still have it it’s actually for sale. I’m not really sure on the miles per gallon I go by smiles per gallon lol I can tell you it is generally about 25% less fuel efficient than it was when it was bone stock maybe. It’s honestly not bad considering the performance level I can’t complain
Man!!! I bent if your jeep didn't bang that rev limiter it woulda been closer!!! Good race!
Wow!!! Sounds good!! Looks good!!! Runs good!!!
Geez!!! Poor challenger never stood a chance!!
Hello Bro. I have a 07 jeep SRT8 procharger and the gearbox is much slower. It's yours TCU modified or tuned? Thanks Facundo
What do you mean the gearbox is slower? My transmission is a generation 1 SHR Viking. Previously I was running a generation 2 Viking transmission back when my jeep just had a Vortech V3 supercharger on it, similar to a P1 procharger. As soon as I did the stroker engine and went with a V2 larger supercharger which is more like a D1X Procharger, The transmission ended up letting go on me again. So I bought a used Gen 1 Viking transmission off of a buddy and it’s been great since. That was back in about 2016. Nowadays you can get away without having a fully built transmission if you get a built valve body. Troy Ding is pretty well known for his valve bodies. I’m still not sure what you mean by slower though if you mean your jeep overall it’s probably because you were still running the stock 6.1 engine. My Jeep on the stock 6.1 with the standard V3 Vortech blower (the smaller one) on about 8-10lbs would get me in the 11’s at about 114-115mph average. After the stroker engine went in (stroked 6.1 to a 392 spec) and the V2 blower went on with about 14lbs its going mid 10’s at about a 132 mph average. Best is still 134mph but those times are all on 94 octane pump gas. If I switched to race fuel or E 85 it would be enough to get into the 9’s anyway. Lots of jeeps have gone way faster though there’s been 8 second WK1 jeeps for almost 10 years now.

Wow that’s pretty wild actually my daily driver is a 2005 5.7 Jeep grand Cherokee lol it’s kind a got a different drive train set up than the SRT it feels more like a 4 x and less like all wheel drive like the SRT does. But yeah dude that’s totally my daily driver! That’s cool that you did it up and yes the builds are fairly similar. So my SRT8 is a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee i’m still running a two bar map sensor and the most I have pushed through it is only about 15 pounds. The engine is a 6.1 based stroker stroked to a 392. Still using my stock 6.1 intake, coil packs are stock, I am using Fore innovations fuel rails as well, i’m using Siemens/Ford racing 80 pound injectors in mine, i’m running twin 400lph pumps in the modified stock basket and I’m running a third areomotive eliminator in-line 3rd pump as well with 10/8an fittings, 1 7/8 stainless works powder coated headers, my heads are Thitek 2.165/1.65 dual spring, molnar rods and crank, Carrillo pistons, don’t have mds on the 6.1, I also run the Melling high-flow oil pump, Manley dual timing chain, all ARP hardware main and head studs, comp cam custom grind, ATI 17% OD harmonic balancer, compression is 9.7:1 with cometic gaskets, my intercooler is smaller it’s I think 24x4x12 and only rated for 1000 hp being just 4” thick, tial 50mm BOV/BPV as well. My power adder is a Vortech V2 Ti with all stainless steel piping and I’m still running the stock 80 mm throttlebody. I’m also running an SHR Viking transmission with an ATI flexplate and again ARP hardware, an FTi converter with a mild 3000 stall. I run 94 octane pump gas as well. I was originally going to go turbo but the cost was getting out-of-control so I decided to just upgrade my V3 head unit to the V2. My goal was about 800 to the wheels roughly and easy tens at about 130 on pump gas. Mind you that was six years ago a lot of cars are getting that fast now but that was the goal and where it still sits. I don’t plan on adding a bunch more power because over 800 you just start breaking more parts far more frequently anyway and this is a very expensive hobby. Especially when I’m still running the stock rear end and axles I don’t want to break stuff so I’m content being here I might try to do some race fuel to shoot for a high nine I’m sure it has it in it. With you running a turbo you’ll certainly have potential for being much quicker my buddy has a TwinTurbo set up down here and he’s already gone 9.1 at over 150 mph lol he’s crazy hahah Thanks for checking out the videos man.
@@GordonStudent heck yeah I’m gonna need to read this a couple times to catch everything 😂 but sounds pretty similar to what I got I just don’t have it tuned out yet and I have the same injectors but they aren’t on the jeep. I’m also running a Holley ecu not the factory one. My jeeps no longer 4x4 either I upgraded to a cryo dipped t56 6 speed manual with a moser rear axle and a centerforce DYAD clutch. All rated for 1300+ ft/lbs. I’m hoping to “eventually” getting some where near 4 digit numbers but we will see. Thanks for the response I’ll sub in case u post more 👍
@@jeepwk6.5L wow a T 56 that’s pretty wild I can’t imagine manually shifting that thing, like I said my 05 5.7 is my daily driver so I love it lol Well with the turbo set up you can definitely get over 1000 wheel if you start giving it major boost you’ll probably need to run race fuel of course or at least E 85. I know you need some pretty huge injectors to run E85 though mine aren’t big enough, my fuel system is but my injectors won’t be. Thanks for the sub I appreciate it I gave you one back as well. I will definitely have more videos it’s just in the off-season being in Alberta it’s very dead between October and April. I will definitely have some more uploads this season.
@@GordonStudent yeah I still need to upgrade my fuel lines and beef up my pump game. I have some siema 840s in my tool box and snake eater 1000cc in it now. But I don’t have return system or a big enough pump. I would like to go e85 but may go with race gas. I still want to lower it back down too so it’s more stable lol. Hope the manual will be fun not exactly looking for fastest time, just a fun ride. And thanks I appreciate it! I’ll have a new vid up tomorrow. Drive shaft comes tomorrow and hope to get it rolling

Who won
Reef ひ bighawk got the w there, it’s likely the fastest hawk in Canada. Record is 9.9 up here IN Canada, but on a negative DA track and he has gone 10.0 with more mph in a 3000+ DA track here
You know this is a fully built turbo 10sec wk1 jeep vs a factory stock trackhawk right? What did you think the turn out would be? (Common sense, use it!)
THE ONE umm not sure I read anywhere where I thought the outcome would be any different. Not even sure what you’re talking about I post races that I get matched up with and Kent is a buddy of mine. I also have another buddy that has one that runs flat tens on the stock blower and engine. He doesn’t even have that many miles but he did add nitrous and E85 and it’s running 20 pounds of boost but it’s a 10.0 Jeep around 136mph so considering the little you have to do I definitely think they are a very very reasonable comparison. The stock 6.1 block doesn’t hold much more than maybe 700 hp before it lets go, the hellcat engine will go way north of 1000. Furthermore my jeep is not a turbo jeep whatsoever it is running a 1400 CFM V2 Vortech blower on about 15-16lbs. So honestly it’s a super fair comparison and no one said a stock trackhawk was going to beat my WK1 anyway, The race was not a surprise at all I was just sharing it for race fans and my buddy who owns it, so I don’t know why anybody would assume it’s to brag 🙄
@@GordonStudent Great race!! What did that set up cost you? All do respect you are modded Trackhawk is stock but a win is a win.
DCautotronics Yeah do it again I’m not bragging the owner of that track hawk is a good buddy of mine. We also have another mutual buddy who’s trackhawk goes 10.0 at 138 so I realize it always has to do with modifications etc. and I respect the trackhawk immensely. And my set up I probably could’ve had a trackhawk half paid for it’s not cheap. A stroker gen 3 Hemi with Thitek heads is going to run easily $15,000+ SHR transmission $5000 plus converter etc and and Vortech Ti custom blower kit for about $8000 is a ton of money. That’s not including any of the install or all of the accessories like tuning, gauges, tires the Stryker hood etc. etc. etc. I could’ve had a trackhawk in the long run lol 🤷🏻♂️

You also need the Green/wood Rv ornament. Not sure what year it is, but it must have come before the House one
Poppins123 Hey there, no I have every one that was released, the very first ornament is uncle Eddie’s RV. The green/wood ornament you are talking about is from a different set or series. I started in the second year of the series which was the house, but that same year I bought Eddies RV off of someone online so I didn’t miss the first one. It’s the first one in the video on the far left but I do have them all. There are a few more right up until 2018 that are not in this video but I do have them. 2019‘s ornament will likely be released in the spring
Ahh yes your probably right . . it'll be from a different series. I aren't sure if it was Hallmark either. It could have been Corgi or something. I just found it when I did an ebay search of 'National Lampoon' and the green car came up, but it was very very expensive

Do you sell any National Lampoons ornament?
JAMIE COFFIN no sir I do it sell them and not looking to sell mine. Many can be found online but they can get pricey, especially the first one of Eddie’s RV. They were all available at Hallmark
