Until I was in the third grade I thought Yankee meant New Yorker.I made friends with a guy in my class who was from Rhode Island, and set my brother straight that he wasn't a Yankee.

They didn't free most of their slaves. When time came close to the end of their "indentured service," most were sold south to states that had different laws. 40 years later, these same people condemned Southerners. Hypocritical outrage...

New York was settled by the Dutch and British. The British hated the Dutch and had derogatory names for them. ”Jan”(yan) for John and (Keys) short for Cornelius. The British put these two together. Yan-keys and use that word to insult the Dutch settlers in New York. That’s where the word Yankees came from.

What information did this ridiculously short video give? NONE! Greed destroyed an adult playground that hurt no one. Uptight citizens decided their "morality" should prevail with no regard for the rest of humanity. Sexual pleasures are a reality in LIFE and not an "evil" desire. When and where can adults be adults? The sterilization of that neighborhood was a very sad and corrupt moment in the history of the city.
