Indeed! I never liked this balloon analogy. I get that when we draw dots and inflate the balloon the dots expand further apart. However, the balloon expands OUTWARD into the space its occupying already. I have yet to encounter a satisfactory analogy without inherent discrepancies.

Incorrect, USA doesn't have this technology, won't have it, anytime soon, Russia, China, Iran North Korea have had it, have perfected it and are prepared to use it in defensive circumstances, stop misinforming USA never needed it therefore never bothered with it, because Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, and now Lebanon do not have anything USA needs to defend against, 1 because no country ever possess a threat to the continental sovereignty of America, 2 USA focused on offensively taking the lands with the majority of the don perignon of petroleum

This is bs. While Starlink can provide internet access to remote locations, it isn’t practical in doing so. You know, there are other satellite internet companies out there. They can also provide internet to those areas. So, what would be special about Starlink? Starlink tries to reduce latency by using many satellites in LEO instead of them sitting in GEO. This, however, means that you need a ton of satellites, and they have to be replaced relatively often by comparison. And the only benefit they offer is latency. The cost for that reduced latency, apart from the cost for the satellite network, is that you need a phased array antenna and electronics to handle switching between satellites. So, if you take someone somewhere in rural Africa, what would make more sense for them? Conventional satellite internet where the dish is essentially free and doesn’t require much electricity at all, where they are getting a latency low enough to play online shooters, or a satellite antenna that costs more than what the average person there can spend in a year, and that draws 25-40W (or even more) of power all the time? When you are in a remote place, chances are you won’t be playing video games. And apart from that, slightly better latency when compared to mobile data or conventional satellite internet doesn’t really add value to the connection when considering the high costs and power consumption. Starlink is for rich countries. That’s it. Westerners that live somewhere where there is no other option for them, but they still want to play games. Which is a tiny minority compared to the other people without internet.

Ultimately that's what doomed the Soviet Union... they couldn't afford all the huge expensive crap they built, and even that was smoke and mirrors. For example slapping new serial numbers on parade missiles and circling them around again.

These short films about WW2 are profoundly bloody ignorant. The Me262 was defeated on the ground, as the aircraft made scorch marks on runways it landed on, and it required a long strip to operate from. This meant that the allies soon knew the airfields they operated out of, and could make fairly accurate estimates of when the 262's would be close to their home airfields at low altitude and slow. Shooting them down with P51's then became fairly straight-forwards, although there remained a risk of AAA fire from the airfield if they got too close.

The Me 262 might ambush a P-51 but could not hope to dogfight with one. The 262 was a bomber interceptor, misused famously as a light bomber/attack aircraft. It had a great speed advantage but was nowhere near as agile as the Mustang. These simulations of 262s attacking Mustangs are rather bogus because the German jet was SUPPOSED to be attacking the bombers, not the escorts.

The problem with reusable rockets is that it takes more fuel to land them than it takes to reach orbital velocity…. Not as expensive as a new rocket body , but the environmental concerns are significant, especially if they are used frequently (like to produce an orbiting data network… do ya give a shi+ about that, Elon?)
