My Dad took my brother's and I there in 1975. He held us by the hand and let us hang over the edge. I've had a fear of heights for as long as I can remember and don't plan on getting too near the rim when I go back this coming winter. Great video.

Fanastic videos! The elevation, direction, what grades there may be, etc. This is a great thing to have as an RV owner so I can prepare for the trip, what the roads are like, if the elevation air density gives my engine less power, etc.

I remember getting to the highest point before heading down to Provo and there is a white house on the right side ,clouds surrounding the house. I took a picture and always wanted to go back and see again.

I’m currently traveling 80W, and my gosh the trip down the Wasatch Range into Salt Lake City is wild. I’m moving from Boston where drivers are crazy, but I’ve never feared for my life like that before. They have suggested speed signs and following them causes more of a hazard since everyone was booking down those steep winding turns at like 75/80mph

So cool

All those famine dreams and visions is because they’ll take down our power grid and food and water will be scarce and very hard to obtain

One other note….The I-80 West control city signs around I-294 really should be Joliet at this point, not Iowa. I’d even argue it should be that as far East as South Bend, currently around there the control city for I-80 West is Chicago. 80 doesn’t pass through Chicago itself, it passes a bit south of there. I think that billing should go to Joliet with the 94/394 split being Chicago. Just imo, I realize where Chicagoland ends is kinda a hot debate. Also not thrilled with the control city for 394 being Danville since 394 doesn’t go all the way down there. I really don’t like that and hope eventually those changes will be made! The control city should change to either Moline-Rock Island or Moline-Rock Island/Des Moines at the I-55 junction.

For those who don’t know, Joliet is the 3rd largest city in Illinois! ~150,000 live there now, it’s really becoming its own thing and it’s own area. Tinley, Orland, Mokena, Frankfort, Frankfort Square, and Homer Glen are all rapidly becoming part of the Joliet orbit. Next few decades look very bright for Joliet.

Hello, my name is Ron Rasmussen, I was born and raised in the Bridger Valley which is located in the southwest corner of Wyoming where I-80 passes. I thoroughly enjoyed your videos about this part of my state. Concerning the video dated Sep 16, 2022 about westbound from Little America to Evanston, I do need to let you know about the statement concerning Church Butte. The actual Church Butte is not along I-80, instead it is just north of exit #53 off of I-80 by approx. 5 miles. The butte is on the southside of the original Lincoln highway which is now numbered county road 233 (Granger Road). When I-80 was constructed the south of the old Lincoln highway it was abandoned by the state and is now a dirt/gravel road ocassionaly used by the locals and many of the oil patch vehicles. Another note of interest is about Little America, it was originally located along the Lincoln highway approx. 6 miles northwest of its current location. It burned down shortly after the interstate went in and is now located at exit #68.

Uhhh… Arizona is in the Mountain Time Zone, but the unlike most of the rest of the country, always stays in Standard Time when the rest of the continential US switches to Daylight Savinga Time.

I noticed you had some difficulty staying in your lane on the curves. Better take it a little slower. The top speed limit is 25 mph if my recall is correct.

This is quite a steep climb and it's easy to overheat your vehicle. Turn off the air conditioner once you get past the town of Mesa. In the fall, around the end of Sept., this is an awesome sight when the aspen turn gold.

Mind blowing great video and screen setup sir! May I ask how much you sped the videos up as I love how one can see so much in just a few minutes and without any motion/vibration blur. I know these gorgeous videos are a couple of years old but I'm just seeing them and hope that more YT viewers cwill also see them too. They are EXCELLENT!!!

we were headed east and came across a biker in salina that was headed west. he asked, "does this state ever end". didn't have the heart to tell him that he had another 4 hours until the next scenery change.
