Legendary video. I have been trying to find somewhere that tells me how to see what page events were triggered on - Can't believe it is this simple. Thank you bro.
Can I create scorecards with the amount of the current year and then use the comparison value feature to compare it with the previous year? I've been trying to create this by using the data in the same table, but it doesn't work. If I create the scorecard, it sums everything from every year, and if I filter the scorecard, then I can't compare it with the previous year as it's excluding that data. What do to there? Or which other widget can I use to visualize the % increase between one year and the other?

This is so over the top for making a boxplot. Is there seriously no other way than to bring my data into big query and writing a custom query?
You can add any metrics to a box plot. Just to make a traditional box plot with all of the calculations needed needs data prep of some sort Sheets, bigquery etc Thanks -JJ
Just to help… In FB, CTR is calculated as clicks over impressions. Unique CTR is clicks over estimated ad recallers. Also, for any CTR, clicks needs to be the value in the numerator and not the denominator like you are showing and describing. Also, if you are using BigQuery be very careful about pulling in any values based on Reach, of which estimated ad recallers is one of them, because BQ will aggregate the values as a sum instead of identifying the actual reach numbers per line item. Compare these metrics on your looker reports to the values in platform in FB to verify for yourself.

Cool video. I like Looker Studio but have an annoying problem with Google Sheets. Why can't I upload Excel files (which automatically convert to Google Sheets with that option in Settings) to the folder where my Google Sheets reside without any changes to the report? People at Google recommend making changes directly in the Google Sheets, but this is not convenient when a report is based on several of these sheets. I thought it would be so easy to just replace the Google Sheets and reconnect, but no, it is not that simple. Any recommendations?
The easiest solution would be to copy and paste the values into the same sheet that is being visualized

When Looker Studio is connected with Firebase Events table in BQ, all data is queried & the date filter is applied at the end. Can verify this by looking at 'Job History' in BQ. Is there any way to avoid this? I have tried setting date filters in report, page & chart too, but everytime it queries the entire dataset

Yes! Views + scheduled queries work together View will run with every scheduled query. Depending on what you need you might want to append tables instead of using views. - JJ

You should make a video of what is charged on BQ/Looker. For example are looker filters lien youve done charged? Or just any query made on Bi query sql. But can you also answer that question here quickly
Any query/interaction is a query against the database

Simple run a schedule and append query that appends the google sheet data to a big query data every day or week

Our favorite low cost solution is mixed analytics to a Google sheet. Free ones usually are more head ache

Great content, thanks a lot! For candlesticks, since you are running the calculation in bigQuery, does that mean you can't "filter" the data? In my dataset, I have the performance of 5 products in retail and I'd like to show candlesticks for different "price buckets" but with your approach, I wouldn't be able to filter by product right? Or I would have to create 5 different querys?
You would just need to have each product averaged. So you would have 5 rows (1 per product) per day ( or your time granularity) You would have each metric avg across those products. Then when you select it. It will show just that one. Because the average of 1 is just that metric
