      Sorry for the late reply.. you can wash clothes at 60 degrees or hot setting on tumble drier for at least 20 minutes to kill mites, no need to throw away

      @MyLovelyPharmacist 20 днів тому

      Hi If you have applied more than 8 times and still think they are there then it might not be Scabies, or you are getting reinfected. If you have had a reaction to the cream I would see your Doctor if it has been more than 2 weeks, if you are reapplying it so aften you may have caused a skin sensitising reaction Good luck J

  • @janerichards3868
    @janerichards3868 Місяць тому

    Permethrin is garbage. It causes immediate “knockdown” but not death to the mite. They shake it off and recover to continue on. Benzyl benzoate 25% is the only answer. Yes it stings for some people. But it works. Use it more often than advised.

    • @MyLovelyPharmacist
      @MyLovelyPharmacist Місяць тому

      You are right that Benzyl Benzoate has been shown to be more effective, but it’s not generally recommended in the UK due to redness and blistering (not very nice especially for children) Permethrin DOES kill mites and eggs though, not just respiratory paralysis. But I have been providing Permethrin to patients for a long time and get little reports of treatment failure. Maybe worth a look in resistant cases though ..

    Sir i have scabies since 3 months i have use lotrix lotion several times on my whole body also use ivermectin with it but after 1 or 2 days it again starts itching like needles sensation... How can i get proper rid from this issue

    • @MyLovelyPharmacist
      @MyLovelyPharmacist Місяць тому

      Ok, so you've used the treatment a few times now, its been 3 months and still there's itching If you are sure you have applied the treatment correctly (all over the body, not after a hot bath), I would say it could be either 1. Misdiagnosis or 2. Re-infection If you are sure it is definitely Scabies (worth getting your Doctor to send off a skin scraping) then you must be getting re-infected somehow Make sure all family members are treated, all clothing and bedding are washed on a hot wash Clean all surfaces in the house thoroughly Remember itching can persist for up to 4 weeks after successful treatment I hope this helps x

    I just use permethrin right after taking a bath today, but i dried my body first before using the permethrin , is it gonna work ? or should i repeat it tomorrow ?

    • @MyLovelyPharmacist
      @MyLovelyPharmacist Місяць тому

      Hi, it depends whether your skin was still hot or not, its not really about the moisture (although dry is best to prevent dilution) The burrows are quite shallow, and that's where we want the medication to stay as long as possible, to kill the mites and eggs If the skin is too hot, the medication will be taken deeper into the skin layers and wont be as effective I would repeat if this is the case

    • @enmatohka2437
      @enmatohka2437 Місяць тому

      Hi, i think my skin is not hot, because I take regular shower, not with hot/lukewarm water. So should i repeat the permethrin tomorrow / repeat it after a week ?

    • @MyLovelyPharmacist
      @MyLovelyPharmacist Місяць тому

      Ah if it was a lukewarm shower then that's fine, it will work. Just repeat after a week :)

    • @MyLovelyPharmacist
      @MyLovelyPharmacist Місяць тому

      Aw it must be horrible 😢 I would suggest a repeat application if you weren’t already planning on doing so, antihistamines (Chlorphenamine is best for skin itching), maybe some menthol in Aqueous cream and cool showers.. throw everything at it 😂 Itching can persist for up to 4 weeks, hopefully it will resolve soon 😀

      @@MyLovelyPharmacist thank you very much... The big takeaway from this incident for me is that I should have flagged this to a doctor the moment I had localised itching... But I thought it was just dermatitis and would go away instead it spread all over the body... Anyway now hopefully I'll manage to rid myself of these mites 🧟🧟🧟

    TLDR: GLP-1 agonists and DPP-4 inhibitors are effective treatments for regulating blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes and can also aid in weight loss, but using them together is not recommended due to cost and limited clinical benefit. 00:00 📝 GLP-1 and GIP hormones help regulate blood sugar levels by promoting insulin release and suppressing glucagon secretion after meals. 00:53 📝 GLP-1 helps regulate insulin release, inhibits glucagon secretion, and slows gastric emptying to prevent excess glucose production. 01:28 📉 GLP-1 agonists and DPP-4 inhibitors help control blood sugar levels and reduce food intake for diabetes and weight loss. 02:08 📝 DPP-4 Inhibitors stop the breakdown of GLP-1, while GLP-1 Agonists increase incretin hormone levels. 02:33 💡 GLP-1 agonists and DPP-4 inhibitors are used to treat type 2 diabetes, with longer half-lives and different administration frequencies, but it's not recommended to use them together due to cost and limited clinical benefit.
