LONG POST AHEAD! thoughts on kiof concert, my first whole-day GA PIT and overall exp attending my last concert of the year:
first off, as a big a fan of music survival shows, i first saw natty in sixteen! she then did another survival show, debuted solo then KIOF!! like others, i was happy to finally see her get recognized for her talent and dedication. 👏👏 as for KIOF, i got curious and became a fan when my fyp got flooded with their "midas touch" dance challenges. the music was catchy, not your usual tiktok trendy type beat but like 2000-ish pop sound. but "sticky" really made me a kissy!
the check-in and venue process was pretty disorganized, especially since everything went so smoothly at youngji's concert a few months ago, i was hoping for a similar experience.
🧍🏾‍♀️ first off, about camping: the official rule is that camping isn’t allowed, though that’s not always enforced, and people have been doing it for years. no problem with that, but if they were going to allow it this time, they should’ve told us right away. met some people who had been there since 4 a.m., but they weren’t in the camping line because security had told them camping wasn’t allowed. there was a lot of mixed messaging from security and management, and it wasn’t until around 10 a.m. that they decided to honor camping. it would’ve been nice if they’d clarified that earlier so everyone could’ve lined up accordingly.
🧍🏾‍♀️ then, there was the vip wristband situation. the staff seemed to think the wristbands were for "early merch" access. for some reason, me and others, as original vip ticket holders weren’t on their list. they told us to go upstairs to the booth, but it wasn’t open yet. we're told to go back to the line and wait for the manager. when the manager finally came, she had a more detailed list and gave us our wristbands. it was understandable that there was a miscommunication causing the staff to have a different list, but what was frustrating was how rude they were, shouting at us and acting like we were trying to trick them into giving us wristbands. one of the staff later came over and apologized, which was nice.
🧍🏾‍♀️ lastly, before check-in, the merch booth was set up right in front of the line. few minutes later, the same staff member started yelling at everyone who had gone to the merch booth, telling us to go back to the end of the line. then she changed her mind and said there should only be one line, so everyone had to go to the back. we followed the instructions, but it became pretty clear she didn’t know what she was doing. some people started running ahead to the front, and the space got really crowded and uncomfortable. tbh it was a bit scary since we are so confined inside the barricades. thankfully, the original line was restored, and things were ok after that.
it was a mess, but honestly, once the concert kicks off, all that stuff just fades away. the cheers and excitement especially if you're seeing your faves-definitely worth it! at the end of every concert, i'm happy i got to see the artist, the new friends i met, and the concert tips i learn. 💞
as for kiof, they did great, no doubt! it takes talented artists to carry the audience without any big stage production. they're definitely going to be more famous with their talent and constant release of great songs. 🌟

what a year! this concert marks my 14th and last concert of 2024! i am so thankful to be able to make new and crazy fun memories! can't wait for next year!! 🎶🎶 also! the first concert for 2025 is...... AESPA! ✨✨
