unlock fps is bad but once the switch 2 drop this is gonna shoot up to 60fps.. dev isnt going to have to update much of anything.

I own both a switch and a PS5 but I will definitely be getting the switch version. Looks good enough to me. Convenience, being handheld...plus I will always associate Dragon Quest/warrior with Nintendo, I have since childhood. I Always will.

Could have been an interesting game if they tried to build a simulation instead of an arcade game. However you get to play in exotic outdoor locations that make it difficult to see court lines or the shuttlecock and feel meh. Why not have a regular indoor arena? Trainings seriously lack instructions (not even sure how to hit a smash at that point..) but for an actual badminton player doing the right badminton moves give you the right results on screen so it looked like a good start. However practice sessions don’t make you move your character and launching realistic mode is when you notice this and things really go downhill. Indeed you have to move your character with the left joycon analog stick and hit a stroke with the right joycon in about the same time you merely hit a stroke in nintendo switch sports. So what you practice in training is actually moot because you don’t have the time to proceed with the proper badminton gestures. Also the AI plays a ton of flat strokes instead of mixing long shots, drop shots etc which contributes to this off-putting space. Long story short it’s a frustrating game. I’ve the feeling they didn’t know if they should go for an arcade game or simulation and eventually botched both aspects. It’d be awesome if a badminton simulation could use a joycon on your thigh to detect leg moves (go left, right, forward, backward, up and down) and another in your hand to detect racket moves. Could be a great indoor workout routine and super fun with an online mode!

Why on earth did they lock the game to 30fps? The switch definitely has the performance to run simple shader effects on 60fps, of course for a turn based rpg 30fps is ok but still how hard must it be for devs to optimize for the switch

Dont buy the switch vetsion just go for the other ones obviously
