Hi my name is julie and I love a gadget but particularly a sewing gadget. I first started seriously sewing 12 yrs ago. I went to my first patchwork and quilting class and not looked back since. Sewing is my therapy and my passion. I became a Glam Ma back in 2013 and wanted to just make lots of things for the special people in my life. In the last few years I’ve dipped my toe into dressmaking, done a few classes and workshops. I’ve also done a couple of pattern drafting courses too. I hope I can inspire because if I can do it so can you. Xx

The bolt fell off on mine and i cant find a replacement customer service is snt going anywhere
@@juliatenney4926 have you tried customer services?
Hi, I realise this is an old video but I'd love it if you could demolish how to use the machine 🙏🏼
It’s the very thin tubes that are an utter nightmare to turn through. I don’t think Prym’s smallest turning tool is small enough for the corset back dress size loops
Agreed, another method would be better, like sewing a thread to one end, Trailing it through the tube as you sew, then pulling it through
How mm pin mam
This was EXACTLY what I was looking for! The 2” maker I received came with no instructions. Thank you!
@@bethperrine6431 glad it helped
You star! Same experience with biros. Very welcome info
You’re most welcome
Can I use it as a dry iron? (Without water in the tank)
Good question! I don’t think you can but you don’t have to press the steam button.
I’ll look into this a little more for you
No as far as I can see in the manual, you can’t use the iron without water
@@glammascreations thank you so much for the prompt response… Bless your heart and have a great day ahead Glam..
im so thankful for this, tips 100% saved me
@@ThyTolka glad it helped!
My needle will not lock in place so I’m definitely doing something wrong. Nothing g is being stitched.
Oh no! Is your micro stitch new? The needle should stay in micro stitch automatically so perhaps it’s faulty.
nice video , does it still working ?
@@mm_power_moves yep still working!
Thank you for explaining everything in detail.
My pleasure!
Thank you , I was wondering how to use this needle threader.
You’re welcome 😊
Works great on nylon stuff though... like ropes...
Great tip about keeping it in the fridge. I live in a warmer climate. Thank you and I’ll share your video 😃
Glad you liked it
Thank you so much! I bought one a month ago and I just used watching your video as a guide!
Glad I could help!
Thank you! I just bought one, and it came with no instructions! 😳 This video was very helpful
Glad I could help!
Thank you. I found it helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
I feel like i can do it easier with scissors. Unless it's really short.
You could but you risk cutting your fabric 😢
Thanks for sharing. I was wondering what is a pattern drill and you cleared things out for me.
just gor inro quilt making!! starting to work on my first one, I'm a little late to the party however do you have any other tips? looking for advise as a beginner. thank you!
Thank you for making this because I'll be honest, I bought one, misplaced the instructions, and completely forgot how to use it. Amazing how easy it is to overthink something so simple <3
Happy you found it helpful
Thank you! I really needed someone using the biggest 50mm or 2'' sized bias tape maker! Clover is a great brand.
Glad I could help!
Thank you
Glad you found it helpful!
I have this machine and love it. Never let's me down. No tension issues ever. Just sewn a reward tab on juijitsu black belt. These belts are ridiculously stiff and thick. I put a strong new needle in place (Schmetz) and took it slowly. It sewed like a knife through butter. I really thought I shouldn't be risking this but there you go. The buttonholes are really neat, just use a strip of stabilizer underneath if material is not very thick. Also, use extension table as belt n braces to get a superb buttonhole. Not necessary but that's what I do. I have sewn for many many years and when I replaced my very old sewing machine for this one, it was like chalk n cheese. With the old machine, I was for ever messing with the tension to get a decent stitch. I became quite good at getting it to work but who needs the aggravation when you can be enjoying sewing stress free.
Exactly, this machine makes sewing fun 🤩
Thanks for the video. May I ask how you get a stretch in your fabric if you use maraflex as the top thread and no stretch in the bobbin? Won’t The bobbin thread stop the stretch and break if you try your stretch the seam?
Yes you need to pop it into the bobbin too for the best stretch.
thank you so much❤❤ this helped me as a beginner.
Great to hear!
I really like the quilt behind you. Is a Missouri Star Pattern?
No it’s a Julie Yates bookcase quilt
Do you have a tutorial on how to make your beautiful Camden tote? So pretty! Thank you!

Thank you!
I absolutely love mine!
I know right! I rarely use anything else.
This video was very helpful for me! Now I can use the Microstitch with ease. Thank you!
Glad it helped!
I’ve only just stumbled across these and had to see how to use them. Great explanation, many thanks for sharing. 🌹❤️
I get the impression that this 'thread saver' should be a little longer than the presser foot.
It certainly helps
If you get zippers by the yard here's a trick for you to make life easier - put on all the zipper heads at the same time. Then all you have to do is move them down the zipper tape when you have to cut off what you need. Of course this works best if you only need one zipper head per zipper. But, if you need two zipper heads on a zipper, it's not difficult to cut off the length you need, remove one head and stick it back on in the correct direction to make a double headed zipper.
Great tip thanks
Thank you so much for the close-up of how to use this! I watched a few others and could not figure it out. You make a simple tool, simple to use! Thanks
Thank you for reviewing these. Looks like my search for a good white marking pencil will have to continue; this one is less than impressive. Too many swipes needed to leave a mark, and then to not quickly and easily wash away? Disappointing to say the least. BTW I love the bookshelf quilt in the background. The way the ball of yarn & needles is situated, I imagine that the cat just gave it a good swat & knocked it off the shelf, LOL! The teacups & teapot give the whole thing a cozy appearance.
You’re welcome and thank you, the quilt is by Julie Yates
😊 thank you very much for tell is book but writer name not seen clear I am real thank you for this book
It’s written by simplicity
Just wanted to say your quilt is beautiful!!
Oh thank you! So kind
LOVE IT!
Cute isn’t it!
very well explained. thank you.
You are most welcome!
Brilliant. I have watched a couple of these videos using the tea towel holder and this is the first one mentioning turning the zip, how obvious now I know. Well done.
Glad it helped!
Very nice
😮 I haven't sewed in decades but just bought a new machine. I'm the only leftie in the immediate family and always pinned it the wrong way. We also did sewing at school. No-one ever mentioned pinning the other way 😮
It’s a real light bulb moment isn’t it!
Hello, doe jou have the silk pins already??
Only ones I haven’t got! Are they good?
Excellent content
Thank you 😊
Thanks for the review, I might have to get one of those.
It’s fabulous
Im sure if you wash the fabric they would wash off , however i thought the marks they made were not very good .my sister uses childrens pens that are made to wash out if clothes ,they are cheap and they work really well .
Great tip, thanks for watching
Hope you feel better..Sending smiles from NY
So sweet of you
Very helpful video thank you ❤
🤩🤩🤩👍💕
I have just purchased one - on sale for half price! - and I have a small-throat machine. But I'm thinking I will concentrate on the width of quilting, rather than the depth of quilting. I've watched several of the demo videos by the Grace company, and I've spoken with a rep on the phone. I'll see how it goes (it gets delivered tomorrow, and it is totally returnable if I'm not convinced). But I know I will not do machine quilting without a frame such as this...just too much to handle without being able to contain the whole piece. Thank you for your video...
Ooo keep us posted!
