It is an accepted convention. It happens many times in the musical writing of various instruments (sax, trumpet, ...). In diatonic harmonica it is also widely used

The octaves before riff 1 are draws?
Can I use lip pursing for a single note sequence and a chord, and tongue block mouth only for the slap technique?
You can do it, if it's easier for you. But is easier playing always with tongue block when you're used playing in that way... I think DeFord B played always tongue block.
@@LostToni I understand, thanks for your attention, I play for 7 months in the lip pursing, I knew the tongue block technique, but I wore little, I'm looking for more chuggings and to have the correct sound, I see that the slap technique enriches the music a lot.
