The “physicality” is a downside, to me. It seems like it interferes with the finer skills and finesse of the sport, instead dumbing it down into what’s essentially a size competition. I hope this league keeps it in moderation, if they insist on catering to it at all.

The PWHL deserves more teams and dedicated arenas to reflect its growing talent and fanbase. Instead of relying solely on NHL arenas, the league should invest in building its own state-of-the-art rinks tailored to the women’s game. Dedicated facilities would not only highlight the PWHL’s identity but also create spaces for training, grassroots development, and community engagement. Expanding the league with more teams would foster regional rivalries, grow the fanbase, and provide opportunities for the wealth of untapped talent waiting for a chance to shine. The NHL grew by building teams and cultivating local loyalties-why shouldn’t the PWHL do the same? This isn’t just about hockey; it’s about showing that women’s sports are worth the investment, infrastructure, and attention they deserve. The PWHL has the potential to rival major leagues, but it needs the tools to grow into a powerhouse of its own.

I think ALL the teams have great fans. Can we put this storyline away? It’s becoming a bit overused and grating. Montreal fans, Boston fans, Toronto fans, all are great and passionate. The culture of Ottawa is wonderful but saying over and over “the best fans in the league” is unnecessary and a bit disrespectful. Fans show up and support their teams in different ways and all of the communities have been fantastic. And I love the GM and coach in Ottawa wholeheartedly.

We love you guys too. I put down a deposit for season tickets the first day they were available, because I wanted to support this new league. I wasn't sure if there would be a few hundred or a few thousand people at the games. But the reality of the fan support you have and the in game experience has been more than I ever could have imagined.

Signing Desbiens was such a bad move in hindsight. Having Chuli has the number one goalie wouldn’t be that much of a drop off and we could have had one more impactful player up front. Roster would have been so much better
