I feel like I would have done this as a skirt instead of a dress. It has a lot more styling potential as a skirt. Like, that would be epic with a graphic tee for "I just feel like wearing it to brunch" or with something more obvious like a corset top for a dressier event. And really anything in between.

Just now getting to this. I really enjoyed this video and the making process of the outfit. I love how close you two are as sisters. It reminds me just of my relationship with my sister and how when she moved out things just weren’t the same, and she’s a big swiftie too so that makes it even better! It made me smile so much watching this and helped me through a lot. I too love the 1989 album. When you mentioned having the music artist that just makes your life better, I thought immediately of Random Encounters because it’s so true. That is how I get through my hard days. So thank you for making this video to lighten everything even if I’m not seeing it until almost a year later and keep up the amazing sewing work!

Wow. I am honored to be the first “wrong guess outfit” to be made. I don’t even know where I got romantic blouse from(probably since it had just been Valentine’s Day when the video came out). Also for some reason, I was thinking a blouse was a skirt😂(I blame post work brain) Overall, the blouse is beautiful and definitely could have a matching skirt with it.

i absolutely adore these videos even though i NEVER crack the code. i just put em on if i need smth in the background; your voice has this way of making me feel like i’m just having a chat with an old friend who loves to sew. and, that statement you made abt mistakes is really ringing true cause i make SO many mistakes in any creative endeavor i pursue, but i try to reflect back and get better each time.

Hm the dress could of used some golden gel dots too, I like the leaves but it feels blank and missing on the more upper parts. It looks good I just feel like with some golden and white pearl beads could of made it just kinda POP more. (I'm not at all a professional dress maker but I have a skill for making outfits that kinda click.)
