Here in Germany unfortunately just seven episodes had been broadcasted on early Sunday evening. I didn' t know, the series had been aired in Spain, too.

I recently joined this facebook group. His second wife Dee is running it. She posted a beautiful photo of him and Charles on Charle' s birthday April12. I posted a nice story on december 24. I got one of his beautiful watercolor paintings and a handwritten dedication to actor Burl Ives.

Solo tengo la versión en inglés. Que yo sepa, solo se publica en la versión original en inglés. Pude encontrar los siete episodios alemanes y los obtuve de una señora alemana. I only got the english version. As to my knowledge it' s only released in the original english version. I was able to find the seven german episodes and got it from a german lady.

I was to young for Cheyenne. I think, just a couple of episodes was shown here in Germany in 1970. Gunsmoke I just know the colored episodes. The short black and white must be much better. 🙂 Yeah, Rifleman is great, too. ... and yes, Rod Taylor is great. 🙂 ... but Luther/ Charles made it right into my heart, no chance left for good old Rod. 🙂

Nicht für mich. Beide gehören unzertrennlich zusammen. Die Hölle von Manitoba ist auch ein sehr schöner Film, wo beide einfach gut zusammen harmonisieren.

You must see the series as an independent " story " . As a lot of other series it hadn' t much in common with the pilot movie. They changed the plot to being a widower again, like in the beginning of the pilot. I think, with Evan being a widower, there are much more chances for romances. A friend of mine said, all women fly around Evan' s neck. :) ... and with Margaret loving him, too and often being jealous comes a lot of fun and humor. ... and with the friendship to Luther the " buddy- movie " topic. Rod, Charles, Darleen, Andrew, Tony and little Gina Marie was such a great team. Like a family. That' s, what you see in the series. It was full of energy and fun. The pilot lecks all that. ... but just my opinion. ;)

Thanks for commenting. I wish, someday, I could visit the States and travel a part of the old Oregon Trail. Sad, the series has been cancelled. It was well made and I think, one could get a good imagination, how this long journey had been for the emigrants.

Hi Lida, thanks for asking. Sorry, I watched the pilot only once. Since my hero Luther isn' t in it, I consider it pretty boring. The pilot has nothing to do with the later on series. As for your Eddie Little Sky I remember some nice scences. I think he together with Gina Marie Smika, Andrew Stevens and Tony Becker, who played the kids of Rod Taylor did a very fine job. Rod was only 50 percent, since he had no really opponent to play with. The energy of Charles is really missing in the pilot.I remember at least to nice scenes with Eddie, but I think, they were not longer than thirty seconds.Perhaps I can work out a little " Eddie Little Sky Tribute " for you.If you like, contact me at wolfssohn77"at"gmx.de and I can see, what I can do. :)
