Egusi Ijebu has to be roasted before blending , like roasting peanuts not blend raw with water and pepper.
This is the way Egbado people cook their egusi soup unroasted before blending

What's egusi in English? 😂😂😂😂 Also the melon seed, you just grind it with the shell? Also no disrespect ut the biggest problem in west African food is the palm oil, like no one eats that. I don't know how you guys eat it.

So, 'Egusi Ijebu' doesn't contain any leafy, green vegetables? That's interesting. P.S. I actually prepare my Egusi soup from a tomato-based stew, as I like to incorporate more veggies. I add cut spinach and a variation of scent leaf, bitter leaf, Utazi, etc. depending on which herbs/aromatics I have on hand.

There’s not too much water at all. Do u make cake egusi soup. The amount of water she used is perfect. It’s balanced
