Damn that m12 is larger than the m18. Whats so compact about it? the CP batteries, yes. Tool with large XC battery, No. So either Milwaukee is making their m12 tools larger with more power or m18 is getting shorter with same power.

Milwaukee fan boys are annoying as hell. LOL Unless their tools wins 101%, its always conspiracy, user fault, screw 1 mm deep, batteries not same, users hand not pushing enough, trigger fault by user, knot in wood, its 12v vs 20v etc... On paper with IPMs and RPMs, m12 will beat 20v Atomic. Its not apples to apples already. If both tools have the same torque, same IPMs, same RPMs, there is no use comparing. In that sense, I would say DCF850 killed it despite having way less IPMs and RPMs.

Milwaukee fan boys....LOL One thing to remember is, m12 being m12 does not make much of a difference. the IPMs and RPMs on the flagship m12 is much higher than the low performance Atomic. remember until dewalt refreshed the 12v line, 20v atomic was competing with m12 and getting beaten badly. And agreed, put the powerstack 1.7 vs 2.5 HO battery or PS 5.0 vs HO 5.0

Honestly iv always had dewalt but let me tell you the trigger and the overall feel of the metabo feels amazing in the hand

I use milwaukee stubby impact and it doesn’t even take a lug off that fast

If you would continue to drive those screws, the one with the impact wrench would drill down to the bottom of the abyss 😅 It all depends on the usage as their name implies. A wrench is good with bolts and nuts. A driver is good with driving screws. And a driller is good for drilling. Nothing more to explain. They all can do versatile tasks with the use of different adapters. But they are built specialized with their names.

It’s power is an issue, just use a m18 impact

The high output 2.5 flush battery’s are the best in my opinion. Power is there and it’s super tiny along with getting about 5 times the run time of the old Gen battery’s.

The Milwaukee should have its High Output battery instead of its regular 5 amp hour on if the Dewalt is gonna have its 60 flex volt battery. For crying out loud.

Fun fact: You're not going to notice ANY difference between any impact while building a deck or whathaveyou. You're beyond spoiled at this point! We didn't used to have fuggin impacts until about 20 years ago!

Have you figured out the difference between Speed 2 and Timber screw mode? Seems like the same to me. Good tool even though the claimed torque stats are exaggerated.

It took me a month to put in my own kitchen myself , A few moments extra driving screws is not the end of the world considering the 1001 other jobs I had to do, The bonus was a new 887 for £60 and the 3 speed was the deal breaker

They r so close that the 3 speed will b the deciding factor

I use the m12 everyday I build an install cabinets , more than enough power 💪if I need more I’ll just pull out the m18 but that’s on rare occasions

I got me the m18 compact impact $99 with battery and charger. Did my oil change tecently and some garage work. Its nice
