Incredible Iceland - Riding Icelandic Ponies
Support the channel: wilderhope-adventures.myspreadshop.co.uk
While I was a bit disappointed that this was an out and back ride, not a loop, and also wasn't more challenging it was still fun. The horses were lovely and I got enjoy two of them during my ride. The wind didn't ruin anything except for the audio during filming and it was a great experience to ride through some beautiful Icelandic countryside, even if it wasn't mountains.

Support the channel: wilderhope-adventures.myspreadshop.co.uk After whale watching was cancelled due to the wind and access to the volcano was no longer allowed I spent the day exploring some beautiful and unique aspects of Iceland. From black churches to green lakes and red rocks and finally soaking a painful ankle. A nice campsite and a good meal followed our busy day.
Incredible Iceland - Skogafoss and Kervunafoss

Support the channel: wilderhope-adventures.myspreadshop.co.uk I saved Skogafoss for a separate video as the grey gloom on arrival (and the need for dinner and sleep) didn't do much for the vision of the waterfall I really wanted. So I was up at 6am to avoid the crowds and to get an unimpeded view of the cascade. Back to bed for a bit and then a climb back to the top for the rainbows which I wou...
Hiking Iceland - Fimmvörðuháls Part 2

Support the channel: wilderhope-adventures.myspreadshop.co.uk The first half of this trail was the most gruelling section of the four days I spent hiking but hiking with new friends made it that much easier. From the amazing glacier (scary) crossing to the Fimmvörðuháls and down past a million amazing waterfalls we headed to our final destination at Skógar. With painful feet and ankles, and a d...

Support the channel: wilderhope-adventures.myspreadshop.co.uk This first half of this trail was the most gruelling section of the four days I spent hiking, but hiking with new friends made it that much easier. 900m of climbing seemed to take forever but the scenery was gorgeous; some of the best I'd seen so far. I was blown away by everything on this trail...and with the insane wind at the top ...
Hiking Iceland - Laugavegur: Emstrur to Þórsmörk
Переглядів 1109 місяців тому
Support the channel: wilderhope-adventures.myspreadshop.co.uk A great night in Emstrur despite the sewage smells between my tent location and the hut (likely from the "eco" toilets into the creek). We started well and cranked out the initial miles. Some great variety across ash fields, raging chasms, lava fields and a massive amount of ups and downs. I hiked most of the day alone, keeping the b...

Support the channel: wilderhope-adventures.myspreadshop.co.uk A great night of sleep followed by a glorious morning view and perfect weather for our long, hot hike across the lava fields along with glacially-cold river crossings that were BRUTALLY painful within seconds. I got to know Ben and Kimmie who I continued to connect with on the trail and became friends quickly. This section of the tra...

Support the channel: wilderhope-adventures.myspreadshop.co.uk If I thought the trail to Hrafntinnusker was tough this section beat me down mentally, and by the end, physically. No rain, but battles with snow fields collapsing, heavy wet clouds making everything damp, many falls and some brutal down-hills. Eventually we got to Alftavatn and got the tent set up; but the only thing I wanted to do ...

Support the channel: wilderhope-adventures.myspreadshop.co.uk A bucket list trip starts when I arrive at Gatwick Airport in SE England for my Icelandair flight to Keflavik. A brief stop for supplies and an overnight in Kex Hostel before heading back to the bus station to stash our suitcase before we embark on the 4 hour bus ride to Landmannalauger. The trip itself was worthy of it's own video. ...
Lake District Wild Camp at Easedale Tarn

Support the channel: wilderhope-adventures.myspreadshop.co.uk By far the best hike and overnight of the trip I can' fault Easedale Tarn at all. The parking prices were steep but avoidable if you can do an extra 1.5 miles at each end but I needed to accommodate 15 year old Cody on this hike. It was certainly a good one despite the mud

Support the channel: wilderhope-adventures.myspreadshop.co.uk In this low-level Lake District walk video we finally make it to High Sweden bridge in a lovely loop walk, followed by a low-level wander along the edges of Windermere before heading off to #carcamp above Ambleside. On our last morning we take a short walk up to Stock Ghyll Force just outside the village. The Lake District has so muc...

Support the channel: wilderhope-adventures.myspreadshop.co.uk This wasn't the video I intended to make as I didn't realize that everything was so inaccessible here, and there was no trail around Coniston Water. Many thanks for this CJ. Very useful. Definitely on my walking list, possibly as a section hike. Thanks again and I hope you are well. Ben :-)
What about privacy covers for windows?
Thanks! I have a 2012 Fiesta & the back seats don’t lie flat. Thanks for showing your platform !
Where did you get that nonsense from
Thanks for all the essential info. Just fonished the final stage, and your video series were very useful in prepping for the route. Wild camped one night in a field under a tarp in Sept!
I live in a hole I dug with a stick I found. I win!🤪
The water level certainly was low when you visited. Much more dramatic after some good rain.
One of my favourite beaches, thanks for the video
Love it! Finally, a woman who has dogs and brings them with her!
nice setup🎉 like from India
Just came across your video, I was brought up in Norham and as kids the Castle was our playground 😊
you are an inspiration for me. grazie
Get a second hand small roofbox for more of your stuff to make the inside of car a bit less cluttered? roof Great for all hiking/outdoors kit, food, water, Dogsfood/bowls and a golf/fishing umbrella to keep you dry when cooking by the tailgate. Fab.video though, well done you.👌
Have you thought about removing the passenger seat?
Wow, 2 dogs, welldone!!
Love this we are currently driving & car camping from Iceland to Australia in a Lexus RX SUV. Zahra www.youtube.com/@twoheadnorth
Hi, thanks for sharing this. I can't find Ell's Nook anywhere, only Ebbe's Nook but read it is on the map as Ebbe's Snook, if it is the same place you mean. 'The name Ebb's Nook may indicate associations with St Ebba, a 7th century Anglo-Saxon princess. The map refers to it as Ebbe's Snook.' Do you think it's the same place?
Hello how long did take from Winchester to Exton can it be done in a day
'Have you stopped making vids?
Cheers, CJ. I'm intending to do my first thru-hike in the coming days. I really appreciate your direct way of communicating, from an authentic place. Yea, this has helped with the doubt that's been creeping in as I prepare.. Cheers, Johnny.

You are awesome. Well done! I'm in Australia and I'm going to follow your lead.
8:00 to 8:18 Def wasn't expecting that 🍑
Beautiful spot and love your dogs 😀
why didn't you get a fiesta van?
Did you find turn from Falmer towards coast easy to see?
This popped up in my feed. I grew up in Gomshall and it is a stunningly beautiful area to walk. The concrete tanks above Shere are WW2 vintage. Emergency Firefighting Water Tanks. The area was used to store munitions in the run-up to D-Day
Nice coverage of the pillboxes. There are about 50 between Guildford and Dorking
😢😢😢 5.11 female here . I drive a 90s Nissan micra. I've never be able to sleep in it
Beautiful stuff, and well done 👍
where did you get the roll up foam mattress from please
love your camping stove set up
What a clever set up for a tiny small car
Enjoyed your perspective. Doing the walk in the next few weeks myself. Hope to have better weather than you did. Any tips? Pete
Beautiful little place. I love waterfalls. I went after you and had it so quiet. I've liked and subscribed to you now. I've caught up on lots this morning.😁 I won't miss any of your new ones now.👍
Excellent watch. I love it there, yes the car park is small and it's a shame if it's full with all camper vans parked poorly. On the mountain near the waterfall is a plane crash site from the 1940s. Sadly the Canadian crew all died. I've been and filmed 3 of the sites. Really sad to see but moving also. Loving your vids.👍
It's a beautiful place. I love it there. Great job.🫡👏👏👍
Beautiful place. I walk to so many places in the Brecon Beacons, I live very near. You did very well here. Well done.🫡💪👏👏
Just attach to top of van
Maybe a tarp with magnets when it rains to put over you while you cook a bit...would help a lot...😊
ANOTHER DIET PEPSI ADDICT!...everyone i know...has finally given up trying to 'change' me into coffee/or tea girl. Oh well.....😅
Absolutely amazing. I recommend you visit the himalayan mountains k2 and Nangaparbat view point from one place moses peak. Add this sound in your bucket list.
Hello dear. Well! You have certainly helped in my decision to 'rearrange' my 12 year old Peugeot hatchback. I've already had to sleep in it for several months last year, alongside my very heavy pollycotton tent so am familiar with its advantages and limitations. Being 5. 1' on one side and 4.11' on the other (got a few Dodgy bits about the body), I am ok to get in and out as I've developed my own little methods for doing things because of the limitations in my joints. So far I've done ok but I want improve my living/sleeping area. Atm, I am in temp accommodation but don't ever want to go back permanently to conventional living and one day hope to have a campervan. Sadly, my lovely air tent is now too big and heavy for me to manage so I shall get a trailer tent instead. There are some very well priced ones out there to fit my car. This will also give me the privacy needed for the essential loo! As for showers there are always the camping and caravan club sites of which I am a member. And of course swimming pools! At nearly 66 and about to draw my state pension, I need to get moving again and be outdoors. I've hid away for the last 6 months so time to hit the road again (hopefully not literally.) But do need to look at converting my car. While the seat fold down good it would give me so much more room with the back ones out. So any suggestions and/or advice from you or your viewers would be most welcome. It's just me. No animals or other humans! 🙋🙏🙂
Maybe because such a confined space and cooking near potentially flammable materials, consider a small fire extinguisher in the kit?
Thanks CJ, you’re definitely my go to channel when planning adventures. However, check out the St. James’ Way which is Reading to Southampton and the official English Camino pilgrimage route.
Didn't it rain in the Bentley area due to gusts of wind and rain?
Can you get to your spare tire.?
