In 1959, I was a 12 year old in Junior High, near NY City. A teacher brought our class to a full dress rehearsal of the Garry Moore show. Their show was performed at the same theater that Ed Sullivan used. Its now the home of the Stephen Colbert show.

Even in death, Johnny Most is "high above courtside." I remember being ten years old and listening to his radio account of Game Seven of the Celtics' first championship (coming from seventeen points down to beat the St. Louis Hawks). I cried myself to sleep in joy that night. My parents and grandparents are buried down the street from him at the Shaarei Tefillah cemetery on Baker Street. Thanks to the proprietor of this video for bringing back so many memories!
