Its true if anybody who suffering from strabismus .i must say take a step and go for it .it will change ur life.i also done this surgery.i am so happy in my life.

Double vision goes away. Your brain and eyes are adjusting. Cold compresses, eye drops and then maxitrol drops.

thanks soooomuch for posting this. I'm having surgery next month. do they prescribe pain meds? I so afraid of being in pain. also, how did they actually fix your eye muscles? do they remove part of the muscle and see it back together? We're you anesthetized during the procedure?

I had the surgery 18 months ago. I have lazy eye (out). Doctor turned the eye in significantly, I was not told that the initial result would be so turned in. It took a good 6 months to stabilize. Went from cock-eyed to cross-eyed, it was a hard six months. Now the alignment is much better but a bit turned in. The doc said that he over-compensated because he feared that the eye would turn out over time. Another thing, I have about 20% vision in my bad eye, good enough to make out shapes but not strong enough to focus on anything. However I was so used to it that I had a bit of depth perception at close range. I have had to re-learn angles and try and focus on distances, this has been a tough one as well. I got the surgery for the first time at 54. Probably should have had it sooner.

I had mine done 3 days ago. Both eyes. I am a zombie. My eyes are red, watery, sore, sensitive and double vision is making an upset stomach. One day at a time. Sigh.

I had this done 5 days ago n I was just now able today to open my left eye bc I have a ball of goop in the outside corner. I can pull it but it won't come all the way off it slings back into my eye n I can feel it sooo bad it makes my eye water n hurts any thoughts on if it's suppose to b there? did u have this prob?

Hey, I am going for this surgery in October. My condition now is one eye is straight and the other looks in. It switches from left to right depending on what eye I use as my dominant one. What were yours like before surgery? How was driving when you were able to again?

how much did the surgery roughly cost? my condition isn't too bad, when i'm tired or when i wake up, it is really bad.

Hello, what doctor did you use and what was your diaopter level prior to surgery?

I'm having both done Monday. I'm nervous about the after effects. We're you extremely sick or were you ok? I've had this surgery as a baby, but never both at once. Guess I will be keeping a lot of motion sickness medicine around lol. By the way, your eyes look wonderful! Thanks for the videos :)

Hi Arisleidy, It wasn't painful at all. Once in a while you feel an itch in your eye but that is the worst of it. Good luck to your sister.
