What was the deal deal with lower lodge
@@jamesweir2062 it had flooded a couple of weeks before and while they cleaned up it had gotten moldy from the humidity. They took good care of us though.
Epic trip for sure!! Next time we need a camera crew to follow us around......
But that adds another 20 hours to the time it takes to complete Tackett Creek
Awesome ride!
Epic weekend! Love the Ronan cam and interviews. Got to keep that.
You gotta normalize your volumes. music is loud as hell then its whisper time when your explaining what your building
I'll have to look into it. Thanks for bringing it up
Good stuff, most people have no idea the time it takes to fabricate stuff like that or how hard it is to weld out of position with things in the way
As I have developed my skills over the years I have developed a much greater appreciation for the time that people put into their projects. Even ones that I don't necessarily like, I find I can appreciate their skill and attention to detail. I just wonder why they wasted it on what they did!!!
Looks good!
I might have to add the grill accessory for the Wangler
It would be a worthwhile expense for sure. Nothing like fresh grilled burgers on the trail.
I dig the buggy, someday I will build one when I am done thrashing my TJ "wanna be buggy" it still has half the frame a hood and a grill so its still a jeep.
Just don't get rid of the jeep while you build. That was my big mistake. I didn't wheel while I was building and it was a struggle to stay motivated because of it
When are you getting a 2 post lift?
Gonna be a minute I believe
You will love having that transmission jack. I use mine for everything from moving axles to actually working on transmissons/transfer cases
The angle adjustments are nice. Already put it to use taking transfer case and transmission out of the 2011 RAM
It's cool you get your boy out there to help ya
Thank you. His attention span is still a little short but for his age he does well.
My .02 gets I like the lower old daully single grille... Changes the look, so it's not just a lowered jeepster... Then, use your skills to personalize it.. Keep it fun Wish I doing it, but not in the cards for me......
Appreciate the props. I am positive that the dually axle is going under it. I should be starting that process this week. I am still undecided on what grill and hood to use. That decision will probably happen after I get the body set on the frame and can get a better look at the stance with everything sitting on it.
I got faith you can do it.... One step at a time.... I'll be watching and cheering you on.....
Im running old H1 wheels and tried pvc inserts back in early 2000's. Had nothing but problems and fought like hell to get them in and seated. Finally gave up and I'm back to the magnesium run flats. Bummer is no one makes pressed centers for them anymore and I bend up the plate ones.
Trail Worth fab does centers for h1s still.
out of 8x6.5 since last year unfortunately@@RedDogMotorsports
Stazworks still does some as well. He can be reached at John@stazworks.com
Thinking of just buying "new" hmmwv wheels and running spacers, why not ask a guy on the internet what he thinks. Would be easier
@@Paper452 I personally would move to 17 inch wheels. I know the upfront cost is large but there are more choices out there and tire manufacturers are likely to drop the 16.5 before long. Lots of good used wheel and tire setups for sale in the 17 flavor
Like everyone I have fought and cobbled together solutions to remove transmissions. Finally broke down and got a trans jack, best 229 I have spent. In one of your vdeos can you cover your buggy more in depth?
Yeah I need to get a transmission jack. I blew the motor in the buggy last trip. So I will have a video coming up on it real soon.
That thing just pulls non stop. Awesome build
Too many projects? I know that feeling! Lol
You were able to bend that tube with the aluminum slug in there? I would have thought the slug would cause it to bind/kink
As long as you grab the aluminum it doesn't. I haven't tried bigger though
@@RedDogMotorsports good to know, did you design that chassis on your buggy? Keep up the content your will catch on 🤙
@@Paper452 I started with a builders chassis from M&M out of North Carolina. It was just a basic structure. And Thanks I appreciate the support
Sick buggy, did you build it?
Yes it was a ground up build. Finished it in 2020. Of course I damaged the motor last week on my groups wheeling trip. So motor is coming out soon
I can’t wait to get this on the road and be daily driving it. Awesome series, nice to be able to watch my build from the comfort of home LOL
I'm looking forward to seeing a good burn out from it
Nice series dude!
Thank you sir
Also I loveee these vids 👌
I gotta ask when I go online to look for parts for XJ’s I see something called “throttle body risers” what exactly could that improve ? People say it helps get more Hp but I don’t see how
It increases the amount of time the fuel and air have to mix The smaller the fuel particles the easier they combine with oxygen and the more completely it burns. More efficient and more power per piston cycle.
@@RedDogMotorsports ahhhhhh I might get me one then
I bet you could make the hood and grill of the Willys wagon work without much effort.
Yeah. I'll need to pie cut the hood. But it would have a good look
Looking forward to seeing your progress. I don't have cameras or thr likes to record my progress. I'm on the buildoff page on FB though. Hope to meet you at the show.
Loveeee these xj vids 👍🇺🇸
this is quickly becoming my favorite channel. there's not to many channels that post good videos on XJs, you go indepth on what your doing an how to do it, i like that a ton it helps me a lot 👍
Thank you, I appreciate it. I expect we will get a chance to do some more XJ work. What kind of work would you like to see done to an XJ?
@@RedDogMotorsports lifting an XJ, an if possible Stretching the wheel base,
Great job,keep the videos coming
Thanks man, appreciate it.
keep up the good work mate
Thank you sir. We will know if the compression numbers come back next week. Fingers crossed!!
Keep the stock front end, love those front ends
You are a glutton for punishment
Add the extra supports, better be safe than sorry when lifting. Building functional stuff from scrap. I like it.
Cannot disagree with that especially considering it is pretty easy. Just need to find the time. Couple of motor changes and of course my entry into the Rat Rod Magazine 2024 build-off.
I don't speak English but it was really cool
Thank you for saying that. Please dont use my English as an example of how to speak English!!
I have several designs on my channel, if you need some ideas. The cast iron burn pot is most likely the problem.A stainless steel dog bowl should fix the problem. Leave your cast pan underneath for safety. Keep trying! You'll get it figured out.
Thanks, I will have to check it out. I have been playing with it a bit and have it working better, still have improvement to make. Contemplating making it into a mini boiler of sorts in conjunction with an old radiator so I can heat my shop with it. I don't want to put it inside my shop all the time since I only need a few weeks a year here in Florida.
@@RedDogMotorsports,I did that as well! Lol
Cool. Then I know it works.
Nice job! Hate I missed it
Your rig would have been next level there
i was #2 on the thumbs up and took it back cause you never showed it working with the heat or blue flame. sorry.
Thats fair. I never got blue flame out of it but i did get it to hot enought to glow. I will try to add it here in the near future.
Not bad, like the use of the Rims but a bit more tuning & work will get it there. Mine (videos on my page) is good.😊
@@markmatt9174 I will have to check your out. Definitely need some tuning
@@RedDogMotorsports ua-cam.com/users/shorts1DWVxTXiGjg?si=AJwGOEE7ImImxDPb is one of them posted replies in other one w it running.
Those are gonna be a lot better to step on for sure, as well as a good bit stronger. You can tell you are getting more comfortable behind the camera
Yeah sliders are much better overall. Holding up well here at Wolf caves. And Thank you
Just subbed I like the content, very cool
Thank you. Stay tuned I am currently gathering parts to LS swap the Jimmy and for my 2024 Rat Rod Magazine Build off entry. Will start these right after my Texas wheeling trip which should be EPIC!.

Ham N Cheese 🥳🥳🥳🥳
Bet that thing is rowdyyyyy 💯🔥
Yes she is a little rowdy at times.
And I love the old wagon wheels!💗
I have been bouncing back and forth with just cleaning them up and keeping them or going with something else that looks stock but is in a 17" flavor.
I want the rebel flag fish tag!💗
I would send it to you but I broke the darn thing in the next video. Had to replace it with a US Army one.
@@RedDogMotorsports😢dang id still want it!😁👍💗
We’re the brake pads already in the calipers? (Stop tech)
Yes the calipers were loaded.
Got video on how to bleed them?
No, I did not get any video of bleeding them. They bled out like any other caliper though. I just generally use a vacuum source to speed the process along.
