Do you have 8-pin or 16-pin on your 4070 in this setup with 4090k? And will be enough 650w power unit or i need 800-1000w? Thank you)

Interesting video, I thought i7 4790K would bottleneck RTX 4070 and at certain areas it does but at 4K, it doesn't seem to be such a bottleneck.

Hi, did you do the workaround to get windows 11 working on 4790k mobo as i have same cpu and was wondering if it was worth the effort to get 11 to work for the performance gains if any and the use of more hdd space and ram to accommodate. I currently run my 4790k@ 4.8 3.0v with a 2070 super but alwsys looking at my next gpu upgrade which for me i feel would deffo have to be the 4070 as i game at 4k also but dont like im stuck on windows 10 with my cpu..

This chip is beginning to show its age. It's so obvious in new games like warhammer sm2 and silent hill 5 remake....it just can't keep up with my GPU. I think it's time for an upgrade!

It is GPU bound at 4k. However i don't see stuttering in game. Strong single core performance too. What an amazing CPU from old day.

i love the vid's im a i7-4790 dude aswell but im getting a 4070 and at the end of the year upgrading the rest, but it clearly performs as much as needed till then! 👍

At what voltage is it overclocked to 4.7 GHz? I tested it with 1,200v and it works great at 4.7 GHz, the only thing is that I have worse cooling, so I keep it at 4.6 GHz. Still a very capable processor.
