I'm on the fence with this one. Sometimes I'm agreeable, sometimes I ain't. I have definitely done things, out of my way, for others and then other times I don't.
Part of it definitely is that Jordan uses reliquary vocabulary that most people understand near instinctively, while many of the "cerebral people" don't have the luxury of his vast repository of wisdoms and his mastery of speech. They need to make, and use, their own abstractions, which isn't a problem if you're the only one who needs to understand it. Jordan however basically gets payed to make people understand stuff they probably would never have thought about and even if they did they would not have unlocked the wisdom within. To do that he needs to get good at making hard shit sound easy, understanding good thoughts said in a suboptimal way probably is a byproduct of that. Since most "cerebral people" are, in their own mind, their only own target audience they are the only ones that need to be able to understand the mess of verbiage they banged together to make that one truth click in place for them. They usually don't care enough about discussing their own thoughts on "a level playing field", basically they are to lazy to make themselves understandable to others. Less gifted people wouldn't understand without effort on the explainers part, so its easy to think that everyone who doesn't understand is just dumb, and since smart people tend to be lazy its fair to assume most are like that, so even if the meet an intellectually even match they won't know cuz they'll talk past each other.
