(Not)Short response: those straps don't work on the plastic or aftermarket stocks (those non-factory stocks are slightly too big), and the straps end up with a noticeable gap between the halves, so much that the screws no longer have enough bite to stay on securely. I am definitely no expert, but the design usage of MULTIPLE screw sizes, all microscopic in size.... just ....bad. And the on/off switch, OMG just, no. And (smiling and nodding) you didn't mention I skipped over the aim-correction 'screws' (microscopic sized at best). but, yes, there are adjustments to loosen the straps, they just don't work on all stocks, even the wood ones (because of slight variations in size and shape). After I filmed the video, I put the item right back in the storage bin it came from, although....it might make an interesting CAT TOY....hmmmmm

Even not-shorter reply, Both Ruger and Lasermax are low budget item companies, you get what you pay for. 10/22's are ok, but, well, I have 9, and I only got 9 because I wanted to practice reshaping and refinishing beat-up wooden stocks, and smoothing out the horrible plastic-mold-seams on the synthetic stocks. Never liked the sharp top edges of the 10/22 stocks, they accentuate any dents and scratches, and likewise are not comfortable to hold.

I'm not even sure the logo actually spells JRCM, or as you suggested, it is a Marushin logo, maybe older version of the logo? or a logo for just the replica models like Japan Replica Collection/Collectible Models? I could be just making that up though.

I can only suggest persistent searching on comic, book, print material related, and other auction sites. Eventually someone makes the decision to part ways with pieces from their collection

Good question! Had to go look at it to check, and yes it is a plastic trigger. I also saw a small round injection-mold/sprue-indentation-circle on the left side of the trigger as well!

@alvmahn i have at least 3 different generations of the 1377 not including the new generation . I thought I had at least seen every type of options that were put on the 1377. I guess I haven't your the first one that I've seen with a plastic trigger I never even heard of anyone talk about a plastic trigger. The only thing plastic on the first gen models are the grips and pump arm. Very interesting it's awesome you still have the original package to💯👍✌️

I can only suggest research into your suggestion for 'aftermarket battery upgrade or update' or some sort of conversion pack using modern batteries. I have not yet tackled that level of project.

AHA, that makes sense, with the 'pin' shape in the the chamber area. I also played mix and match between the blued and nickel plated versions, and the parts were not 100% interchangeable ( slides and triggers would bind up )

I hope I never have to perform sustained fire in the future. That said, the product description said the cord is made from Kevlar, and listed items it could be attached to that I think would possibly get very hot. So will it melt? emit fumes?
