Our short family trip to Malacca!
=============================================================================
Growing up, I used to look up to my parents with admiration. Whatever they did, it seemed right to me. From enrolling me in piano classes to guiding me through the ups and downs of school life, I trusted their decisions. I always look for them for advice, and whenever I’m happy or sad, I’ll share it with them.
But as I entered my teenage years, I began to notice flaws in my parents-how they could be overprotective, or how they just didn't understand me. I couldn’t stay up too late with friends as I had an unspoken curfew. Education was prioritised over friends and relatives. The disagreements I had with my parents grew, and I slowly felt becoming distant.
Yet, as I've matured into adulthood, I've come to realize that my parents have always loved me deeply. Every evening, my dad would iron our school uniforms perfectly while sweating profusely. Work starts at 9 for my dad, but he would wake up early just to drive me to school, and that’s every morning without fail. My mum makes breakfast every morning. And after her work ends at 5pm, she cooks dinner too. Even the simple task of catching a lizard -it's these seemingly mundane acts that now resonate deeply with me.
I've come to understand that I can't change my parents' perceptions of life, work, family, or friends. But regardless of our differences, they will always be my parents. They raised me based on their own experiences and they are doing the utmost to provide, guide, and nurture my siblings and I.
So, as I reflect on my journey from childhood to adulthood, I'm filled with gratitude for the love and sacrifices of my parents. They may not be perfect, but their love is unwavering-and for that, I am forever thankful. Be kind to your parents, it's their first time living life too. Yes, they do make mistakes and we argue on the simplest differences, but I still believe we should forgive.

I am truly blessed and grateful to have you. Hello, We are students from the College of Pharmacy at Catholic University of Daegu in South Korea. Our team is working on a research project related to the recent doctor strikes in Korea, focusing on how pharmacists should proceed. To explore this topic further, we are planning an overseas study trip to Singapore. During our visit, we aim to investigate unique aspects such as Singapore's distinctive pharmacy vending machines and the pharmaceutical separation system. Additionally, we are interested in understanding the direction in which pharmacists in Singapore are evolving. We hope to conduct interviews with experts working in pharmacy-related fields in Singapore to gain more insight and depth into our research topics. We would greatly appreciate it if you could spare some valuable time for an interview. The topics we are curious about are as follows: 1. Significance and effectiveness of implementing pharmacy vending machines from the perspectives of patients and pharmacists. 2. Pharmaceutical separation system. 3. Coping with an aging society in the field of pharmacy. 4. Differences and similarities between pharmacists in Singapore and Korea (such as pharmaceutical sales and regulation, advanced technology, personalized medicine, etc.) 5. Future directions for pharmacists. If you agree to participate in the interview, we will utilize your valuable expertise and experience as a foundation for producing more in-depth and comprehensive materials for our research. The interviews are planned to be conducted at pharmacies in Singapore during July-August this year. However, we can also conduct the interview via email, phone, or any other preferred method. This email is to explain our plan and to confirm whether you are positive about participating in the interview. We apologize for not being able to confirm the project schedule at this momoent. Nevertheless, your participation in the interview would greatly contribute to the success of this project. We can exchange additional information via email. Thank you for considering our request. We look forward to a positive response. Email: topop1357@gmail.com

hi can i know how nursing interview will be like
Hi, I’m not entirely sure what the nursing interview will be like. Alternatively, I can share some general tips on how to prepare for scenario-based interview: I think honesty and empathy is key when it comes to a healthcare role. So when given a scenario, think how you would portray yourself if you are a healthcare professional yourself. Hope this helps, and all the best for your interview! :)
hi did you do all your interviews in the campus? what healthcare question was given to you?
Hi, we did our interview on campus, and this was 4 years ago. These were some of our questions: 1) essay: what would u do differently in the healthcare system. maybe they will give a case study and ask your opinion on what u would have done 2) for our scenario, it was a carnival. and an elderly approached me saying that they wanted more coupons to get a toy for their grandchild. but we were told not to give out extra coupons and they were limited and won’t be enough for others if we gave more than 2 coupons for each person. so the interviewer will act like an elderly and keep pestering for the coupons. so they will observe how u handle the elderly (i think the scenario will last like 3-5min) tbh, we didnt prepare for this cause we didnt know what stations were there before we went for our interview. so it was really on the spot thinking. i think what they are looking out for is you having empathy for the elderly but dont give the coupons (i didnt give out extra coupons, told the ‘elderly’ i couldn’t give any more and explained the situation but also emphatised with the elderly saying ‘i know u would love to get a toy for yr grandson but i cannot give any more coupons cause its limited and we need to give other people a chance to play as well) Hope this helps and all the best for your interview! :)
Hi, do you know where i could access the practice interview for the online video assessment?
Hello, as far as I am aware of, i don’t think there are any official practice interview platforms
Twins nice
Hello! Thank you for the video! It was really informative! I am planning to apply for occupational therapist in sit. I am wondering what is the time line for the interview? Like if you submit application before the due date? Do they contact you early or it's the same for everyone? Thank you!
Hi there! There isn’t a specific timeline, in fact, some of my classmates were contacted later than me for successful applications. So, it really depends on each individual
nice!
you are so beautiful!

I FINALLY went out by myself after much procrastination and contemplation!! It was a new experience for me and would probably do it again, but I will do it differently. Here's why: 1. I should have gone to a familiar place because my anxiety was at its peak when I went to GBTB (a place where I only go when I feel expensive LOL)... Maybe, next time, I would go to a cafe and enjoy the scenery while I sip on my hot chocolate :) 2. Also, I should have worn something more comfortable. I took a risk to wear something that I don't usually wear (it was a low-cut top and I do get self-conscious at times). I hated when people stared at what I wore. There is nothing wrong with wearing such outfits, but I am still on the journey of learning to love myself and not care what others think about me. There will always be people out there who would judge and criticize. They will attempt at instilling their thoughts and beliefs into you. "But you should find that many of these actions are for the purpose of making you think, feel, and act, as others want you to and in ways that are to their advantage" - Dr. Joseph Murphy

What is your advice for p2
For Comprehension Qns, AQ and Summary, it is important to know the synonyms of all the words mentioned. Find various vocabs so that paraphrasing would be easier for you. E.g. Discuss - talk about, debate, explain, review, confer, etc. View- perspective, point of view, outlook, standpoint, position, stand, stance, approach You can also build your vocab by practising 10-year series (TYS). Collate new vocab and attempt creating your own sentences (usually sentences related to Singapore Events). Doing TYS also helps you to understand what the author is trying to say (common trends when reading numerous paragraphs), and that would be helpful in answering the comprehension questions. E.g. new word --> urban dwellers (One accustomed to a city or urban lifestyle or unsuited to life in the country) In a sentence (related to SG context): Since most individuals are urban dwellers, we make first-world problems our priority, while overlooking the presence of more pressing concerns in developing countries. AQ is similar to Essays. Read up on the recent Singapore Events (Environment, Political, Social Media News, etc.) Then try using the content in your paragraphs. Try to paraphrase and shorten the content when you write your paragraphs. . . If time management is a concern, I suggest starting doing Summary and/or AQs, and then starting on Comprehension Questions. Make sure you have 20-30min for your AQ section, even if there is not enough time to complete the Comprehension Questions. Hope this helps! @@shaandja last question ,does changing the position of sentences count as rephrasing ,like back sentence to front and front to back
@@katechim9397 Nope, rephrasing/paraphrasing shows that you understand the source well enough to write it in your own words. You can watch our video on GP essays PEEL format to learn how to write AQ section Paper 2: ua-cam.com/video/GTOymu3eKEc/v-deo.html

@@shaandja thankyou so much 😄😄
I forgot to mention a very important part before writing essays - PLANNING! 1. Plan for about 10 min before actually writing your essay.. planning is very important so that you do not get stuck halfway when writing.. 2. Break down the question. So for example, “Discuss the view that social media promotes democracy”.. Find various vocabs so that the paragraphs don’t sound boring.. Discuss - talk about, debate, explain, review, confer, etc. View- perspective, point of view, outlook, standpoint, position, stand, stance, frame of reference, approach Social media -social platforms, social media services, websites, networks Promotes - contributes, assists, aid, help, develop, advocate, foster 3. Then, draw four boxes, and each box, break it down to 4 rows (for P, E, E, L).. write down the main point you want to bring in a paragraph, what example you want to use, and lastly how are you going to link the example to your explanation. Just simple sentences will do, just for your brainstorming.. do it for the rest of the paragraphs For content: 1. Pick 5 common topics that usually comes for the exam.. and prepare content using journal websites such as Guardian, RT, New York Times, etc. Then try using the content in your paragraphs. Try to paraphrase and shorten the content when you write your paragraphs. 2. do a few timed practices and consult your GP teacher with the essays you have written. Ask them to mark the essays you have written and you can ask them for tips on how to write better. The Teachers will also know some insights (marking scheme, advantage when you choose a certain topic) This applies to writing AQs as well. My teacher taught me how to write simple sentences and how to be coherent in your sentences (during 1 to 1). That really helped me close my learning gap Hope this helps!
😲
got it !
very helpful video !
7 words per sentence. Do questions and ask for guidance. not coherent(??) Coherent is like "i was running" with "i sweats and pants" UNDERSTAND Q BETTER
