Please i have Suzuki 400 but I don't know how to repair it

I took my sierra around that forest drive in the early 90s. The water under the bridge was over the path to the right. Bow wave was breaking over the windscreen. I just kept er lit all the way through with the back end fishtailing like buggery.

Cont.... Its too good to start ploughing through the rough and throwing her down the road, but for an all round bike, it'll do nicely. Not fast mind you, but then who wants to go fast when you're on one of those. Take your time to enjoy. ;-)

I paid 670 for mine two years ago from a guy in London. Paid 75 to get her over to NI. Great wee runner but a bit grubby. Spent about 100 get the plastics and tank repainted and 150 on replacing chain, sprockets and chain rollers and a good servicing. Shopped around for front and rear carriers at local bike shops 50, and military bags to act as panniers. I'm now going to get engine overhauled. A good one can go for 1500 plus on eBay. If she's really mint go for it and use her on roads and lanes.

Looks nice, wanted to see what these bikes were like as my mate has just restored one, complete strip down and rebuild, he's now offering to sell it to me...

Retro, Unfortunately no. I carry two spare fully charged batteries for the zumo. I have tried on different forums to get advice on how to run a sat nav off a 6 volt battery with no luck. I believe there is a system but its a tad expensive

Are you running that GPS on the 6v battery?

She's a beauty! If you still need parts, I have a set of wheels complete with brakes, a set of forks and swingarm and a tank. All needs work, but doesnt seem to be too easy to find parts nowadays.

I have 5 bikes in bits 2 running, One in trail trim and one in Enduro/Rally trim. I got sidepanels from Governors bridge spares but they aren't listed at present. I'll have a look to see what I've got but doubt if I have one spare

Hi Jez. Thanks for the comments. Am on the lookout for a left hand side panel and left wing mirroe if you can help out. Are you local. Had a DR back in 1980 then sold it. Saw this one on ebay and got it at a good price, however needed repainted and minor mechanical repairs done. Intend to do a spin round Ireland in the near future.

Hi Fred, History :- First bought DR400 in 1981 and kept it for 2 years or so, hen a BMW R80GS, That was me on GSs. I have an 850 GS and a 1150 GSA SE, I always wanted another DR, not a DRZ but they where like hens teeth and too expensive. I saw this on ebay last year. A elderly gent from London had it and I got it cheap.. It was a good runner. Got her serviced, replaced the sprockets and chain, repainted her and cleaned her up. Music is whatever is there. Music is mali and by Farka toure..

Very nice there's not to many Dr400s that look like that any more . What condition was she when you got her Love the music lol how can you go from Limp Bizkit to folk Ive named mine Beelzebub shes made for offroad but road legal . The front end is from a Kawasaki KX 500 1988 has brake disk. My old tank leaked so now it has a tank from a GN 125 1996 . The rear lights are led .The head light is an off the shelf fit . She can climb muddy hills and survived being completely submerged in a ford

Lol my parents didnt let me have a bike when i was younger so now in my 40s and my kids have grown up i too am getting back the lost years. Nice bike would like to see a walk around of it and the engine sounds too

Z900tom, The next one will have less music, more engine and shots of the bike and better scenery. Next dry day . There was too much wind noise, will have to experiment a bit.
