Hi, for some reason Cast to StaticMeshActor does not define StaticMesh objects. I put Printstring after cast, but it doesn't output anything. Why? UE5.5

Greetings, thank you for your lessons. I had difficulties with the Multiplying Nodes part, when adding scale color to the emitter, the flash still disappears abruptly and not with a smooth transition, and I don't understand why.
Had this issue as well. Figured it out: Use the A instead of the RGBA output of the particle color node into the multiply node within the material graph.

For some reason in the “beam emitter setup” section when I go to “input position” under beam start and end I can’t use the sampled position of the skeletal mesh, does anyone know why this could be?
Question how was the material set up for this and what are values for scale color?

Using skel mesh. Not useful info. We know skm can be used to do this kind of work. But there is reason not to use it.

Great series! A shortcut for scaling the rocks down might be to convert the vector 3 to a float first and then to a curve. This only works if you want to scale uniformly.
Just finished the series (making mine vfx alongside), I really loved it and want to show my support! I would have liked some more in depth explanation on a few things, but overall it was great and I understood pretty well anything! Surely a great resource for beginners like me, thank you guys, I will keep an eye on this channel!

How do you get rid of the base color in the water material?
Can you set the variables within an animation montage or sequence?

How is the water texture used in 1:30 created?
what is the point of this, if the value always remains the same, then it also makes the same amount of light permanent. So where is the benefit of this? P.S, tried it with having no results ^_° But I have exposure set to manual. I was looking for a way to have emissive materials make more light without them actually looking any different than before.
I'm coming from a studio with a proprietary engine to a studio using Unreal. This course is perfect for beginners, or people that havent touched Unreal since Niagara came out. Great work, great format, great presentation. Thanks a ton for making these!
