@@CoatingsbytheBay Definitely not you talking trash, you're talking the truth - keep speaking it. What dealers sell as so- called ceramic coatings is unethical. I recently spent 19 hours on a brand new F-250 for a complete package to coat all exterior surfaces. Cost of coating alone was over $200. Customers of the dealer need to see this. If they're being charged $1,000+ and it takes a couple hours at most ( big red flag) and the sham "coating" fails months later, or they can hire a real professional and spend 1500-2000 but know it will absolutely be done properly, it's an easy choice. I've had clients pay me double what they were quoted elsewhere because once they realized how much time it takes, it's an eye opener. I'm mobile, so I work in garages and business owners' warehouses, so they see it first hand and I enjoy educating them during the course of the job. This leads to coating all of their vehicles as well. It's a great feeling when you're done and know 100% that the coating was done properly and another new vehicle owner didn't get scammed by another dealer!
