Those are all great tips. As a speech language pathologist, I have worked with children through the years that have hearing impairment and helping teachers and peers learn strategies to help them. This is great informational content. Also since I just started my channel, I am looking at everybody’s in terms of the technical aspect too. I love the way you insert cute little pictures or stock photos or text bubbles. I am improving in my ability to edit videos and add text and audio/music but I have not figured out how to do the things you’re doing. Of course, I only use CapCut as my editing tool on my phone so you probably using something a little better. But you’ve encouraged me to try editing more creatively.

Yeah, niching down seems to be the terminology people are using to tell us to narrow down our direction. Mine is still all over the place. I am filming like a Vlog. Sometimes I am trying to do videos that might have value to someone but right now I’m just figuring out all of the technical stuff and getting comfortable on camera and all of the things you need to do. I’ve had my channel for about six weeks. I have 19 subscribers, but I am having fun. I am outside of my comfort zone learning new things and I’m still working full-time so it’s just a fun side hobby right now. I’m not stressing about getting monetized, but it is a lot for one person to do and I give any of us over 50 lots of credit for jumping in and learning all of the new things needed.

I laughed when you said you had made your resolution to swear more because I never swear, and my son has made it his goal in life to get me to have more of a swearing vocabulary and not be afraid to use the words. I’ve just never felt the need And he wants to change that lol. I don’t even sing the swear words when I sing along with Taylor Swift and she uses a lot of the big ones lol. My word of the year last year was self-care and I did well all year with it. I got all of my screenings done. I did all of my appointments and got some medical things on track. This year my word is experience. I just turned 60 in November and I want to start having experiences. I’m going to do as manythings as I can, but I have wanted to do and since I just started a UA-cam channel it will also provide me with some content. Happy new year I’m glad I found you.

I have 3 channels, The first 4 years ago and very specific niche The 2nd once again very specific niche and the 3rd I just started 4 months ago and taking off which is this sign in, The Point no channel on the average takes off till the 3rd year (you get throttled byYT) People (viewers) love train wrecks Showing a perfect train on the tracks gets no views Also if your pace is not 160 words a minute viewers leave, If your frame isn't changing every few seconds viewers leave, You can get away with a lack of one of the previous as long as the video is about a train wreck Don't waist your time watching UA-cam advice Watch channels in your niche that have millions of subs Do What They Do

I totally agree! I am 63 and yes, after 4 years of doing content for my channel, I can say that one has to be very passionate and dedicated about creating content otherwise, it can be frustrating when you do not get the results you expect. It is a lot of hard work and time, right? It takes me I should say, 8 to 10 hours (total) to edit one 6 to 8 minute video because I want it to be worth the time of my audience. It is all about our audience. I am with you. For us to succeed or at least, to keep going, we need to love what we talk about so that even if there is no one watching, we are still proud of ourselves for having shared a good message. Great video, thanks for sharing. Sometimes when I'm stuck or feeling down I do something for someone else. It always lifts me out of my bad day.

Thank you for this information!! I’ve been a mouth breather all my life and I really didn’t understand why most of the population cared to breathe out of the nose. Now I get it! This is HUGE
