    Thank you for sharing this. Now season starts next month here in New Jersey and I have been trying to figure out how I’m gonna hunt during bow season. I was looking into buying a hang on stand or a saddle kit which doesn’t seem very comfortable for how long I like to stay out in the woods. But I already have the summit viper. I will be giving this a try for sure

      @nickbrooks705 it works for me! Last week I saw an add. Now summit makes a seat that sits level with the rails. I guess they finally learned. Lol

    When your transporting the stand are you wrapping the seat straps back around once to nest it ?

    • @stuartbaker3326
      @stuartbaker3326 2 місяці тому

      No. I leave them like this, and it works fine! Actually, it all seems to fit tighter, and is quieter.

      I will have to try this again later. I couldn’t get it to nest without loosing back to wrap. I’m new to summit stands and I’m still figuring out what that best way to pack it is

  • @timbow50

    Use nock bushing helps. I enjoy packing those arrows in groups. I like to shoot at a blank target ( no markings or target face) and then I will aim at that first arrow. I feel this type practice for me helps create more focus on my form? I also just shoot the blank target wherever the pin floats to because of my body position and then just focus on breaking a good clean shot. Caring less where the arrow hits. I like doing this at 30 yards mostly because that’s about the farthest shot I will do on a deer etc. I will do the same shooting blank bail at 50. I will also shoot at 20 for form and execution “ timing” and then immediately go to 50 to work on the exact same timing at a little further out. I like to break the shot around 4-5 after I have put my thumb on the knob. And yes, hit a lot of bushings and tear up vanes. And that’s ok with me.

    Hanging foam on cold bore shots is a good thing. Like you 60 is my usual max because I can still get a reading on where the pin was when it broke. I also shoot at a tennis ball hanging in front of my 60 target block. Thinking if I can hit the ball hopefully hit a 3-d target at like a 100?

    It’s because of the drag all fix blade broadheads shoot low at that distance and the striker even more so because how wide it is compared to the cheap broadhead that u shot and with the striker u need more steering with the vanes than other broadheads because of how wide it is

  • @user-vg4zt6nh2i
    @user-vg4zt6nh2i 3 місяці тому

    I actually have both of the same broadheads and prefer the cheaper ones. Consistently more accurate and forgiving than G5

    I examined your videos. You say that you shoot from 100 yards, but there is no video of you and the target at the same time. When I calculate the sound of the arrow leaving the bowstring and the flight time, I think it is a shorter distance than 100 yards. I use a 70-pound bow and shoot an average of 100 yards, but the flight time of the arrow is much longer.

    Have used the Stealth on my hunting arrows for a few years with great results at 2 degrees straight offset. I just made and tested the new AAE HYBRID 2.7? I believe and they are fantastic. No vane prep on the AAE. Never felt like spending the extra money on the TAC vanes glue and prep pin etc. The Hybrids ( taller one) are on my PS 23’s at 1 to 1 1/2 degrees and they fly like darts. I only practice seriously to 60 yards and see them doing perfect flight. The few shots I’ve done at 90 yards is awesome to watch them. If I was not using fixed blade broadheads and was using Sevr’s or similar I would probably refletch those hunting arrows to 1 1/2 degrees straight offset. But, I’m not going to use a mechanical,lol. 👍👍👀👀

      I'm mainly setting up for TAC in July. I definitely want as much speed and clearance as possible. With both of these vanes, my scope maxes out at 125yds, so I don't think I want to go any taller. The TAC vanes have been great, but I didn't like having 2 arrows in my quiver that I couldn't use because of warped vanes. I have noticed the stealths hitting a little lower at 100 yards, so they must be slightly slower. Overall they seem great though! Still not sure which one I will go with.
