Interesting video and music. Thank you for sharing.
Happy to year you enjoyed it. Thanks for letting me know.
Go, Pops, go!
Am trying.
Nice job!
Thank you for the kind words and am happy you enjoyed the video.
Are you getting confined bored? when will you be able to get out past your drive? I'm looking to do a follow up to a visit to your side of town, the CSX/G&U Junction. I'd love to see some newer version of the Budd car to connect some of the lines together on the MBTA. It sure would make traversing around the eastern half of Mass more efficient. Framingham to Mansfield, Framingham to Leominster for example
The CSX/G&U junction used to be interesting but all the interesting locomotives are now gone or out of sight and it is now mostly fenced in - really not worth a trip.
Have a nice Thanksgiving and be well.
Thank you very much and may you do the same!
Hope all is well.
Am getting by, which is better than the alternative. Thank you for the kind words!
WoW!!! What an Incredible video!!! Thank you for sharing it and music...so refreshigly fitting and Awesome ! Bravo! Not to say that my avoidanve 9d accepting drones into my realm is over. Iso Great! Lovely.
Thank you for the very kind words and I was glad to hear you liked the video. Thanks for responding!
Excellent slide show. Autumn is my favorite season, and these pictures are amazing! Thanks so much for sharing.
Thank you for letting me know you enjoyed them.
Thank you again. New England has that beautiful feeling in October. (then you get cold 😁 )
You're right. One day it's beautiful and the next day you're freezing. Appreciate the comment. Thanks.
Thanks again my friend , I think I've seen all of them but was all enjoyable. The wreath on the front at Castle Hill looks brand new on google maps, stands out ( '22?)
Very happy you enjoyed it. Our best to you and yours.
This is so fascinating! Thanks so much for sharing. I find it thrilling to see the world differently using my drone. It has definitely opened up a whole new world for me. I've always wanted to fly, and this is the closest I'll come to that. I did experience skydiving; however, I don't think I'll be skydiving soon.
You are welcome. I did learn to fly while in college and, after passing my cross country solo, I got bored with it and went back to riding motorcycles. The drone is, for me, an extension of motorcycle photography - a flying camera.that is a great way to look around and capture interesting sights.
Beautiful footage; I can empathize with being a 24/7 caregiver. I did that for my father and mother for several months in 2022. Both had never been sick. It's a challenging role, and sometimes, it can be hard to find time for yourself. Take those moments when they become available to you to rest. I'm new to drones; however, I have found them a great way to decompress.
Thank you for responding and congratulations on getting into drones. It is a great way to relax and enjoy yourself. I just spent my free hours today putting together a video of clips from this year.
@@popscycle-john I look forward to the videos. About four months ago, I discovered that video editing is a great way to relax. I found that when I started posting birdcam videos. I meant to post my response from this channel; it's the one I set aside from my drone videos. I see a few videos on your site that I want to watch, and I plan to view a few of them when I settle down this evening.
Thanks for a beautiful flight and all the best!
Thank you for your kind comment!
Sir, God Bless you for all the time you have spent taking these videos. I wish you the best. Thank you.
Thank you for your kind remarks.
I've been there in life before. It was & would spend the time again. It's nice to have someone to be counted on. I was up there a couple Saturdays ago filming w/my drone. Should finish the bloopers video I was making out of it. One of your local Post Office Employees was VERY helpful in assisting me in the location of my drone after it got messed up in an electrical vortex or two.
Thanks for the comment and sharing your experience.
also that pond got infested with a virus
Sorry to hear that. Thanks for the information.
If that’s on turkey street, it was torn down
It was sad to see to
Go
Yes it did and I was fortunate to get a video of the last remaining structures. Appreciate the comment.
So much great content in this video. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for the kind words. I have been tied up for the last month and unable to get out and video this year's foliage.
Glad you recognized Slug was with its Mother. Of course it's a girl engine, otherwise it would be a Switchim not a Switcher. Great video. The colours are starting to get darker in their green. I've noticed the yellows starting to show up around the mid 495 area. Enjoy the wind. See you in the sky's.
Thank you for the comments.
This is incredible, I wish someone would have documented the Kingsbury Ammo plant in Indiana before it fell into ruins.
I wish folks would get aerial documentation of any/all old buildings of any significance before they are razed. Thanks for the comment
I can remember when it was B&M and they ran 3 tricks a day there back in the 70's and early 80's.
I guess you got to see some good action. Now, it is pretty dead, Good luck on you train watching.
Location?
Deerfield, MA, at coordinates 42.57036549920543, -72.56723112562588.
About 40 yrs ago I almost bought a house here, nice little town, because of it's location. I was railroading then and things were getting scarce around Boston. If I landed here, Worcester and Springfield were close, and could do a long deadhead to Selkirk or Boston if needed. It didn't pan out. Still looks nice, thanks for hitting a memory.
Thank you for your comment and story.
Thank you. As well as the Trains, I like seeing views of American Townships, streets, houses and Industries.
Thank you for letting me know. Appreciate your comment!
Hi, thanks for that. The views of the Loco Pad, Sand-towers and Fuel Depot were interesting to see. It looks like Sand is delivered by Rail Hopper, whereas Fuel is by Road Tanker re the Weighbridge?
Happy to do it and happy you like it. Thanks for commenting.
Fantastic drone coverage
Appreciate the kind words and thank you for viewing and commenting.
Konga tnt rail! #ph
Huh?
That is picture perfect @1:50 , the clouds, the colors of the sky and all the surroundings. ( I have a big screen and on full)
Thanks. Am happy to learn that it looks good on a big screen.
I don't think it's dead. They have just gotten better at keeping it empty and running consistently.
LOL, you could be right. It's not good business to have cars lollygagging around in a freight yard.
Haha don't count on it, after all this was panam, sorta still is
Thanks for sharing. That is how EDY looked the two times I've been there. The slug set was neat to see.
Happy to ear you enjoyed the video. Thanks for letting me know.
Love the old Boston and Maine McGinnis paint scheme on those engines. I remember the old GP-9’s and GP-18’s that had that paint scheme and always loved the way they looked. Especially when you were looking at them coming towards you with the black and white stripes. Really cool looking design. Takes me back to the 60’s when those engines were a frequent sight on the Fitchburg Division in Waltham Mass. Love your videos! Keep em coming. Thanks.
Thank you for letting me know you enjoy the videos. Always appreciate the commentary.
nice!
Thank you! I thought this was very interesting and hoped others would also.
hmmm, my comment disappeared! so repost: Great video. Great to see the whole yard instead of my view from the overpass or on the ground by the tracks. and, I know you from Palmer when I used to go there! Great views. I looked at all your drone vids and they are all great! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for letting me know you are enjoying them. Appreciate it!
wow! what a great video of Deerfield Yard! nice to see the whole place instead of just my view from the overpass!! subbed you!
Awesome, thank you!
What I like is how no one has vandalized it or destroyed it , nice town.
I think the locals are looking after it and I hope it can be preserved.
I love the overhead shots. It helps to understand the layout of the tracks in the yards. Thank you for the flyovers.
Thank you for the kind wards and remarks.
Thanks for the nice flight
Thank you for letting me know you enjoyed it.
@@popscycle-john Just subscribed, I'll drop by when I can
I have just found your channel, very pleasant. I am retired and did work Conrail, so what you are showing me is 'up north', never been there, so new to me. I follow your drone on google maps lol!
Welcome to my small channel and, thank you for letting me know you are enjoying it. Hope to get more interesting rail content going forward.
It was interesting to note that the only locomotives moving cars around had Eastern Alabama, G&W livery while all the BERX locomotives were seemingly tied down.
Nice video. Looks like more cars than I've seen in other videos from the past four years. Don't know if they move them or use them to look busy. Hoping they stay busy and profitable.
Happy you liked the video. There was more activity in the yard than I've seen in a good while, Like you, I wish CSX and NS success and profitability, which means gainful employment for folks.
Huge mistake letting this railroad (CSX) into New England. They will push out any small business and just eorry about double stacks, tank trains and garbage trains which suits them fine. Too bad CP Rail didn't get to buy them out !
Well, I hope you're wrong about it being a mistake but there's always that chance. I do appreciate your view and comment on the subject. Thanks.
Nice job. Loved trains since i was a kid 48 now pushing 50 😮
Thank you for the kind words. I still get a thrill seeing trains and am happy to share the images.
Great views; thanks for sharing.
Appreciate your comment and kind words about the video. Thank you for watching.
Can you come down and do West Springfield Yard. That would be nice.
Don't know when I'll be out that way but will put it on my dance card. Good tip! Thanks.
You are myself in the future minus the natural tan lol
Always enjoy the comments.
You’re somewhat an artist, Pop!
I appreciate the comment and hope to improve whatever artistic ability resides in these old bones. :-)
@@popscycle-john If 72 is old I’m an old guy too. Over the past 2 years I’ve been watching train videos on UA-cam. I started with “Hobo Shoestrings” videos and it took off from there. I’ve just started to find out where the train yards are and visit them. (I’m in north central mass.) I will say that your content is very appealing. It has a “feel” to it. This one has a particular charm. The soundtracks are great, along with nice visuals. I like any historical info that you include, but I also like that it’s minimal. Carry on!
@@robleach7085 I agree , great job
Very nice. What drone are you flying?
Happy to hear you enjoyed the video As for the drone. I now have a DJI Air 3. I used to have an American-made Skydio 2+ but they pulled out of the market to focus strictly on commercial and governmental business. Best regards, John
@@popscycle-john Thanks!
Devens
Yup, just to the west of the rail yard.
Thanks for the video and eleavator music it put me to sleep
I was happy to learn you enjoyed the video and found it restful.
Nice video (and music as well.) I never seen the Deerfield yard before and this was a great view!🚂🚂🚂
