Here the orignal video where I discussed the longevity of my Glock 19 - ua-cam.com/video/8qYSwkNPyNI/v-deo.htmlsi=GqUk8fsAocV5XCpw A little rambling, and some philosophical ideas go into my process. If you made it through the whole video, well thank you for sticking around, and I hope you learned a little something along the way! #philosophy #thinking #tacticalshooter #precision #outdoors #life...

This is my lightweight and preferred Bible reading and study setup, simple, easy and consistent - which works out great for traveling too! I know there’s quite a popular trend in some very involved note and study methods, but I'm personally a bit of a purist, so I keep it streamlined and simple. My Great Grandfather carried a Cambridge Pitt Minion Bible with him every day to work. The story of his studious effort to read and study daily, in such a way that he could be a witness to others inspired me to take my Bible with me whenever I can. Whole the Emerald Text and Windsor are very reasonable to carry. There's something perfect about the Pitt Minion that makes it ideal for taking with...

The Single Best Glock Modification

This is a ridiculously simple modification that helps to mitigate both slide bite, but also muzzle flip. I know many who use this small modification to improve their overall speed to get accurate shots on target. Those of us with massive hands and want to avoid nasty cuts, this is an easy way to still get a super high grip on the pistol, and not get hurt in the process.

Sig fans wishing their 320s will go 2 years before rusting and FCU breaks 😂
I like that holster, I've looked it up after you mentioned the name. Came back to the video to thank you for mentioning it by name. God bless
Can you show video on how you rewax?
I miss my g19gen4..watching here in ship..
Wow...4 years of daily use and the setup on how you organize your gears n stuff...just beautiful. Really dig the wears and all the story behind it. Awesome video 👏 Thank you.
I still carrying my old Gen2 Glock 19 , if it works don’t fix it
Great video! I have a gen2 23. I carried it for 21 years, only about 12k rounds.
When you say you use the Motor Coat on rifles, how do you employ that exactly? I am picturing soaking a BCG in it but I’m not sure if that’s what you meant. Great video!
@timothycummins2700 excellent question, and apologies for not being clearer while recording. I was going 100% off the cuff. For the BCG I do a breakdown every 500-1K and give them a good cleaning. Winchester white box is kinda messy stuff... (It's probably more than necessary, but I want to make sure it's not going to be too dry and fail to lock-up correctly) Then I warm them up with soapy water and a degreasing soap. Dry everything off really well using rubbing alcohol to speed up the drying process, and just brush all the components down with the oil. Don't leave a heavy coat on anything, that will cause major problems. For the star chamber and barrel I run a soaked patch through, and let everything sit for 10-15min with the oil after my cleaning. Be sure to run a couple dry patches through everything to make sure there isn't going to be a hydraulic pressure buildup. That would not be remotely funny... P.S. since using the Motor Kote product, I've noticed that I rarely have to use harsh cleansers of any sort. I'm not seeing or "feeling" any rough buildup of lead or copper fouling, and I almost get away with just using Hoppes or a little alcohol to clean things because the fouling just doesn't stick. Don't go lax on good and reasonable cleaning practices, I'm just pointing out that I've had a much easier time of it with this oil product. Hope that helps to better explain what I'm doing, and how I achieve the results that I do. That bottle I'm holding up on video is the same one I acquired from the O'Reilly auto parts back in 2012. A "LITTLE" really does go a long ways. (If you use it in your vehicle, follow the instructions on the bottle, and best of luck. I'm sold on using it after pushing multiple big rigs well past the million mile mark with top notch oil, and good maintenance practices.)
Thank you for taking the time to provide such a detailed explanation. I am happy that I found your channel. You are a positive and uplifting guy. It’s very cool to see someone keeping it simple. A Gen 4 19 with open sights is capable of so much more than people think. Obviously you know this very well. I appreciate the discipline. Thanks again and may God bless you and your family!
Outstanding video. Thank you for sharing. Great reminder of what’s possible with training and discipline.
Quite excellent all-around and thank you for sharing your deep-thinking approach to maintaining and shooting.

I find the background music enjoyable. Great vid.
@@propgungoesboom2647 gotta show my love for the classical tradition I was raised in and come to enjoy immensely! Thank you kindly.
How often would you scrub the barrel? How much leading or copper is built up in there over that many rounds? Impressive to say the least. Glocks really are perfected
@Broman-es4sx as meticulous as I am, I don't have a number to give there. I run my nylon brush through the barrel with a little Hoppe's #9 or some Lighter Fluid and then smear a drop of oil on it. If I notice any fouling buildup, then I whip out the bronze brush and copper/lead solvent. Soak the barrel for 10-20 minutes, then run the bronze scrubber through it a few times. Rinse with warm soapy water, and wrap it all up with a drop of oil down the inside of the barrel and swab it. Rub the outside down with the leftover and call it good. I'm fairly certain that part of the reason I don't have the fouling buildup that some get is because of the oil I use. And I also swab the barrel with the nylon bore brush every week or so, even if I'm just carrying and haven't live fired. Any debris clogging the barrel can be a potential for catastrophic failure. I've seen the demos and understand that it takes the right situation, meaning it's super rare, but I prefer to avoid Mr. Murphy of Murphy's Law.
what holster do you have?
@br3ad420 it's a Tenicor VELO4 for a G17. I prefer the extra length to aid with grip and slide tuck.
underrated channel. Love the content, keep it up!
Great video. Condolences for the loss of your grandfather🙏🏻
Great video!!
All I use is the wax behind my ears since 1998, in West Texas
I wish I could see a hundred yards!
The irony of you holding a plastic pistol using a plastic shed as your studio is not lost on me. Not throwing shade, my neighbor has a very nice ten foot tall plastic shed at least twelve feet deep, on a concrete pad. They can be well made.
@ToddHavel haha well received! I work with what I can, and am grateful for what I have. I am a man of refined skill, reasoned discipline, and sound mind, but that doesn't mean I'm rich in bank. So I make do with what I am able to, and make sure that it will last. If I have it and want it around in time to come, I've got to take care of it because no one else will. These little sheds have been a Godsent, truly, and I have made good use of a couple of them with the help of my dad. Cheers to you, and thanks for the good humor. It is appreciated!
Good job sir….
I could barely see the target at 100 yards! 😂 Great shooting my friend!
Lol also the Skyrim music is fucking hilarious to me
I bought a police trade in g23 gen 3 with a little less slide wear but the barrel finish is so freaking worn I should probably start changing internals lol.
@jibletjibletstein8040 the visual finish of the Gen3 pistols tended to look better in the long run, and didn't take the beating so seriously. The metal finish on both the Gen3 and the Gen4 is really solid, but the Gen4 esthetic finish definitely wears a little worse than some. There are some great videos floating around about how to check your springs and locking block. If in doubt, just change them all and be confident that you're piece is ready to go. Those PD trade-ins are usually good to go.
@ yeah the 23 was the first pistol I had bought and I would totally go to war with it. You did call me out for changing the back plate to an infidel back plate but in my defense I was 17 now 29 hahahahha
Ooof long fruity ass video that proves nothing… and that barrel looks like it’s only has maybe 200 rounds through it Thanks for the click bait that only shows that a Glock can do 330ft shot… which so can practically every gun made
@impolite2n1p3r8 cool, so let's see your video that's one continuous piece from start to finish making it happen. Iron sights, ten shots on paper with no misses. I'm using an 8in target area.
@@PhotoCapturedDon't pay that simpleton no mind. I thought your video was excellent. Shot out in the wild, like you said start to finish, no cuts, no edits, just pure cinematography and a g19. You actually remind me of a younger Paul Harrell. Godspeed on your future endeavors sir, I'll be watching.
@ so make another video like u just did with a click bait title proven the guns been carried and not shot 60k times? The smile on the barrel alone is about 100 dry fires worth of wear. That’s the perfect way to stay with a low view count making the same videos as everybody else with no real new information. You’re video doesn’t prove what ur title says or that it’s been ran 60k+ rounds It’s the same as all these UA-camrs getting a free gun and instantly saying they put 1000+ rounds before the video and 9/10 that’s not the case
@impolite2n1p3r8 ok.
I feel like Mr. Rogers took up shooting and proved his proficency. Great shots.
@invictawarrior I'll take that for the compliment it is, thank you kindly.
Dude. You are meticulous and it works well
Great vids man. Glock is my favorite. Carry a 19 , 26 and 17 or 45. Love them all.
Draw slide back one inch with trigger pulled. Release slide. If it closes fully the RSA is fine.
I got a 19 g4. Ill never get up to 60k cause i cant take that much brass to the face. I hate that gun lol
I had that problem too, do you still have it and would like to fix it?
@timblack131 yes i do. Yea id appreciate that
@@FirstLast-ff7qx I went down a whole rabbit hole and have a separate bag of spare parts for the g19 now. So my fix was finding a specific extractor and ejector combo. They're rare but if you can find the older non lci extractors that are cast and not mim'd. (be sure to get the non-lci extractor edp and spring). If you're unable to find one, I've read that people have had luck with the Apex tactical extractor too. Now, the ejector is what I think is the main culprit, the one you want has the numbers 47021 printed on it, you might have to buy the whole housing to get it but it'd be worth it. After replacing those in mine, ejection has been 99% consistently to the 2-4 o'clock position. Hope this helps. Brian Enos forums has good information as well.
I'm unable to see the comment I posted back with all the necessary information, are you able to see it? @@FirstLast-ff7qx
Great video!
My Glock wants a divorce after watching this video.
Love the slide wear. You have a cool gun. Goes to prove this is one of the greatest pistol designs ever. The fact it’s so simple astonishes me
Glock recommends replacement of Gen 4 & 5 guide rod at 5000 rounds but I see many that have far more than that and still no breakage or failure.
@@douglasphillips24 What do you think about the Tungsten guide rods ?? Worth it or no ??
Thnx Guy
How are men and women this dumb around guns lol sounds like he’s in Canada lol maybe he’s trying to put a video together for kids lol this is pathetic if your on this level you shouldn’t Owen a gun.
I seldom comment on youtube videos, but this video is absolutely unique, informative, it speaks logic and common sense and lastly a superb display of safety and incredible marksmanship.
@seansako appreciate the acknowledgement, I wish more were as careful in how they use their firearms. We have amazing access to great firearms here in the U.S. but we must be careful not to cause harm by negligence. It is avoidable.
Warching this made me feel shame for the condition of my Gen 4 (the best Gen)
Thank you very much for this video, it was very insightful and helpful!
Love this video thank you for being a voice of reason and responsibility in the consumerism focused gun industry! I'd like to start using the same lubricants for my guns as well is it a 50/50 mix of Lucas gun oil and motorkote, and which motorkote oil do you use? Also, what cleaner do you use/ recommend? Thank you so much and Im certainly sold on having a g19 as my main gun. Hope you had a nice Christmas with you family and hope you have a great new year as well.
@gabrielshouse6142 Hey, a fellow details oriented individual! It's a 3:1 ratio on the Motor Kote product - 3 parts Lucas Gun Oil and 1 part Motor Kote. It's way more than necessary, but my longevity of use speaks to the practice, so there's that. I actually just uploaded another rambling video on the subject of basic maintenance. It's definitely not my best moment, and could have been better, but it's a start... For day to day cleaning, I use Hoppe's 9 or lighter fluid, both of which won't melt the polymer components of a pistol. If there's major copper/brass fouling, then I use Gun Scrubber and keep it AWAY from the polymer. It won't necessarily melt it, but I've seen polymer frames weakened by the use of that stuff. Christmas was phenomenal! Great time at my brother's place with our parents and one of my uncles, then followed it up with a good visit at my Pastor's home with a great friend from San Diego visiting. Tomorrow we'll be with friends who are more like family in the Denver metro area for New Year ring in! Thankful I can take work with me and enjoy these great times of fellowship.
@@PhotoCaptured Im also a fellow Toyota owner lol! I actually just finished watching your other video and once again it was very helpful and I appreciate it! Thank you so much! I am going to order that stuff and start using it on all of my guns as well! It may be more than necessary but your results are making me think it is necessary! Glad to hear about Christmas, sounds like a very nice time! This time of year is so nice to fellowship and catch up with people we dont get to see as much as we'd like. Thats definitely a blessing to be able to take work with you wherever you need to go.
Awesome! I love my Gen4 19. One gun I will never get rid of. Yours has a lot of character for sure.

Love these kinds of vids showing what a g19 can do. Did you say that barrel was original? Happy holidays and condolences.
@marktownsend8187 the barrel is orignal, but the frame and slide technically have the full round count because I have used a threaded barrel interchangeably for close to 12k rounds. I have an old and now out of production Wheaton Arms 416R threaded barrel for use with a suppressor. Thank you kindly, grandpa was a great teacher and left me with a lot to consider.
Great background music !!!
Of the multitude of firearms media out on the Internet now a days, this is easily one of if not my favorite. Fantastic video. I appreciate the time you took to do this and post it.
@StevenPham217 generous praise, thank you kindly. Hoping to keep the interest with honest content that's distinctly separate from the plethora of fast paced-short-form substance available. There's something philosophical about the subject for me, and I hope to convey that better with time. Less about the flashy techniques, and more about the process and thought behind it.
@ it definitely showed man, quality content for sure. I’ve thought about it doing something similar, just basically fireside firearm chats and this hit the nail on the head for me. Thanks for making the content I don’t want to make 😂
@StevenPham217 ha I hear ya there, my problem is having time to actually put it all together into something sensible. Then having the time to film it all in decent light, and not blowing wind like a Laramie Summer day 🤣
I’ve carried a G19 since 1997, stay strapped! Love the video!
@Sully-d2m good man! If you liked this one, you'll probably get a kick out of the one I shared last night. Crossed the 60k rounds mark, and did it at 100yrds on camera. ua-cam.com/video/Zl0kl3RQAI0/v-deo.htmlsi=pMPvVZLI9vibUpEo
