I bought a Blue Star range 4 years ago and the oven igniter has had to be replaced twice. I was told by the company that sold and serviced the range that I had to wait a month for the part. So no oven for a month. Fun times. Last night the igniter blew out again. It's only 6 months old. I spent a lot of money on this range and this problem with the igniter is a sign that this range is not worth it. Overpriced and over hyped. Then there is the convection fan which sounds like a plane taking off and vibrates the oven sometimes. I never use it as it's too loud. I would not recommend anyone buying this overpriced range, which also has a chintzy warranty for a stove in this price range (It's a year). I'm thinking of replacing the range as soon as I can, which means the range cost me $1000 per year. Stay away from Blue Star.

Just watched a video where a professional chef spent 6,000 on one and was already having to replace igniter after only 2 years of use in his home!….i was looking at this purchase for a 6 burner….bunt not anymore. I also looked at the warranty….1 year! Yes 1 year warranty for a “talked up” range!

In the last 12 months, our BlueStar 36 inch oven has only worked for 7 of those months. It would take 60-90 minutes to reach 300°. It would cycle on/off excessively. Our tech spent lots of time on the phone with the factory engineers. They replace every part in the oven with long waits for parts. A new engineer joined the problem and he sent a newly designed part. It was a shield to cover the thermocouple. Apparently it sits too close to the burner ring and is almost instantly reading a high temp and shutting off the gas. The shield solved the problem. Then, two months later the igniter goes out. More waiting for parts. It’s working now, but we are still concerned. The range top burners? We love them. Had to turn down the gas flow from the factory setting, even on low they were very hot. Once I did that they were great.

all of the Frigidaire designed and made in Canada appliances are made too complicated to be responsible. Look like boy/girl friends for the start and later you just "Nevermore"

Hmmm…that wash and dry feature could be helpful for microfiber cloths. Using a heated dry is not conducive to their overall longevity.

Mine quit after 16 months, I replaced magnetron and capacitor and diode now it only works if I leave the cover off, once I put it on sometimes it will go 30 seconds and sometimes 1 second

I have a Frigidaire oven. It's so noisy I get depressed when I have to use it. I'm thinking of getting rid of it after only 2 years.

Spent way too much on this range. Not worth the money. What a disappointment. Has needed to be repaired within 6 months. The burners are rusting. Ignitors went kaput both on the range and in the oven. The only thing if value is the fact you can put a wok into the burner well and the low simmer feature on my back burner. 0_o

I have the newer model NE63T8711SS and when you turn it off it doesn't cool down. Can you make a video on shutting it off and forcing it to cool down.

My top of my stove is not working it’s cutting off

Well this is a great stove for 13 months . One month out of warranty and the main control board shorted out and when it did it cracked the glass top, luckily I have a home warranty that will cover the cost, around $800-$1000. Finding the replacement control board was easy - but finding the glass top has become a joke. I can't find it anywhere, NOBODY can provide me with a part number. Samsung support gave me a part number, but Samsung Parts tells me that part # is wrong. The parts department will ship me the part for $300 not including shipping and wouldn't give me a shipping quote, but they would not provide me with a picture or a part number so I can verify its correct before spending over $300 to get it shipped. How do I know who's correct - the manufacturer or the parts department (which is just an authorized dealer for samsung). Any chance you know what the part number is for the ne63T8911ss/aa range glass top

I have a coil electric and wanted to update to induction but I wont b/c even the new slide ins leave a slight gap between the stove top and the counter where any spill would go and make any clean up impossible. My 32 year old range overlaps the counter making clean up a breeze and gives a much nicer esthetic and a built in look. I hear manufactures used to make the top with slightly extended sides to cover any gap. Until it dies , I'll stick with what I have at least until they make them right.

Is the front touch panel glass ore plastic? My old GE Profile was glass and very durable. I noticed manufacturers are now using soft touch plastic that scratches and leaves imprints. After a few months of use the panel looks very old.

I apprecate your post, however I would not buy a Samsung Refrigerator due to ice issues right after the warranty is over.

Can we mix brands when choosing wall ovens? We want a wolf 30 inch but also a Thermador or GE Cafe on top (with spacer/support in between, if necessary). Is this doable?

The charbroiler is unique and clever. Open flame heats diffuser plate. Looks like diffuser directs drippings around burners.

I don’t like the door covered all the function buttons. One it closed and running, you can not do any additional/ substrate the run time. For me, it’s not convenient for the operation.

Those doors not being evenly sized would make me nuts....no symmetry

They are all junk ,, the government needs to make these companies make them last at least 10 years no exception.

Refrigerator broken down, needed replacement asap! Very hard to find these days, and was getting a bit anxious when we reached out to Coast… (36”/counter/4 door/drawer/custom opening) “Malkeet” was awesome, informative and patient. Very impressed with his product knowledge and work ethic, (we didn’t realize store was closed/he stayed extra 1/2hr and didn’t even tell us) we would purchase from Coast again. -Delivery was just as professional. Expensive but comfortable purchase. Great job guys!
